I'm sure we will come to their rescue in a couple of weeks.

Put us at a 2 seed for an ACC or Big12 school.

My fear is that the pair is with an SEC team at the super regional level.

This committee does not want 6 teams in the CWS.

Tallahassee, Fla.
1. (11) Florida State^ (ACC)
2. TCU (Big 12)
3. Florida (SEC)
4. Bethune-Cookman* (SWAC)

Would rather be the 4 seed.

Auburn being the #5 seed nationally makes zero sense. They are currently 9th in the SEC at 11-10. Their remaining schedule is @Tennessee, South Carolina, @Ole Miss.

It is very questionable whether they finish in the top 5 in the SEC. Yet they are projected at the #5 national seed? That makes zero sense.

Forget trolling A&M for now, them even making a regional is an accomplishment after the beginning of the season.

How the hell are Auburn, Vandy and even UGA ahead of Tennessee in this? I mean, no offense to Auburn, but other than sweeping LSU at home that one weekend, what are they doing to be so highly regarded? And how does Vandy even begin to make this list?

Here’s how I expect the final standings to look:

1. Texas (27-3)
2. LSU (20-10)
3. Georgia (19-11)
4. Arkansas (18-12)
——
5. Tennessee (18-12)
6. Vanderbilt (17-13)
7. Ole Miss (17-13)
8. Alabama (16-14)
——
9. Auburn (15-15)
10. Miss St (14-16)
11. Kentucky (14-16)
12. Texas A&M (13-17)
13. Oklahoma (13-17)
14. Florida (11-19)
15. South Carolina (8-22)
16. Missouri (0-30)

If this were to happen, the Top 5 teams would almost assuredly lock up a national seed along with North Carolina and Clemson.

That last national seed spot would come down between Auburn, Vanderbilt, Florida State, West Virginia, and Oregon State.

Auburn has the head-to-head advantage over both Vandy and Oregon St. We’d probably need to beat both Missouri and Bama in Hoover and hope FSU and WVU lost a game or two they were supposed to win down the stretch.

We are higher in RPI than I thought.

We have a series finale in Morgantown. If we win our last 3 series including that one, would we possibly host?

If Kansas finished winning 7 of 9 vs Cincy, BYU and WVU and beat Mizzou in the last mid week game that would put them at 22-8 in the BXII and 44-12 overall. I'd guess their RPI would get to 14 or 15 and they'd likely host.
