Can you not have tobacco at 19 anymore in Alabama?

Marijane Jones on page 3 was busted for weed. I blame her parents. She had no chance from the start with that name.

It's federal law now. Trump changed it to 21 during his first term.
ETA: Downvotes for answering someone's question truthfully?

Yes, it is illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone under 21 years old in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, including on military bases. This federal law, the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, was signed into law on December 20, 2019, raising the minimum age of sale from 18 to 21.

Pot is no big deal, but what kind of stupid shat were they doing for cops to detain them and find it? Driving badly.....with dope in the car? Explains some of the poor decision making during coverages

Never understood this sentiment. I was in on a bust of a drug ring when I was stationed in San Diego & heard this statement in the proceedings by the guys boss. The dude in question was popped for MJ and other drugs. He was one of our Riggers for our ejection seats. I asked the boss so you are ok with the guy getting high & working on your seat before you go flying?
Many people have jobs that can affect lives if they mess up by being high or not in their right mind while working.
I don't care if people do all kinds of drugs in their own home where they can only harm themselves. But if they are out driving or working where you could harm someone else then that is a societal problem.
/Rant Off For those that need a little background, I flew for the Navy & was also the squadrons legal officer. The bust was coordinated that took in a ring that shipped it in from Mexico and distributed it in the area in the early 90s

Right. Just like they probably shouldn't be drunk on the job.
It's the person in your scenario, not the substance.

Correct. I totally agree. Don't care what kind of drug it is.

They most likely are downvoting the law and not necessarily you.
I will never understand why people worry about downvotes.
ETA: one definitely downvoted you.

Please tell the board who held the House of Representatives in 2019? You might want to consider a civics lesson on how a bill becomes a law.
