Why did Beard decline aggy offer?

Aggy could easily match any offer Ole Miss gave him.
Any good ideas as I do not follow MBB closely.

I would imagine that Beard has some sense of loyalty to Keith Carter for giving him a shot after his firing. Carter is a basketball guy and seems like a pretty good AD to work for.
Ole Miss has zero basketball tradition, but its not like A&M has much more.

I think Beard feels he has a pretty good thing going at Ole Miss. Not a ton of pressure and he has a very supportive AD who will do everything he can to give Beard the resources he needs. We don't have the resources of A&M, but I think Beard wants a top 5 job and will eventually get it if he continues to succeed at Ole Miss so why keep making your family move instead of staying and waiting on the dream job.

Arkansas wouldnt offer more is why you got him. He grew up here while his Dad coached he wanted this job first but with his history with Tenn Hunter wasnt going to over pay.
