I don’t but it’s Phil Mushnick. Guy is saltier than the Dead Sea after SJU got knocked out.

Wouldn’t dare pay for it, but probably just NIL related, might mention the Miles stuff idk. But a lot of schools that love their basketball on the east coast..Seton Hall, Providence, Maryland, to name a few can’t or won’t play the NIL game.

Brandon Miller will almost assuredly be the focus.
It’s gonna be the same crap we have to deal with any time we make a decent run under Pearl.
“Alabama is pretty good this year. What have we got on them to get outrage clicks from their fanbase?”
“Brandon Miller?”
“Great! Phil write that up!”

Don't like the looks of it.
Imagine chatGPT writing a summary of all the salty LSU comments on the SECr anytime Alabama basketball comes up- that's what this article is. I don't even have to read it to know that.
Mushnick should be reminded that we're apparently irrelevant again after last night, though. Waste of an article

Apparently the Post has got his stuff fixed where the usual archive sites where you can bypass the paywall won’t work, and I am not going to pay to read it either. But in his last column, at least what I could read of it, he was ripping Boogie Fland and basically established that he utterly despises college basketball on all levels. So I doubt he’s going after us specifically as an entity, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Phil has made a career of being one of those acerbic, iconoclast types. Probably most famous for Jim Cornette cutting a promo on him on Raw one night when Mushnick went off some sort of crusade against pro wrestling.
That or the prevalence of black alt jerseys being an attempt to appeal to gang culture or something. I mean I don’t like teams doing the black alts, but that line of thinking makes as much sense as saying Auburn is trying to appeal to the crips and Alabama the bloods because we wear blue and red respectively lol.

For those unfamiliar with him, Muchnick is the TV sports columnist for the Post.

OK, I have not found the full text of this column, but I found the Boogie Fland one I mentioned, and Muschnick spent the whole column lambasting Boogie for a quote where he said he “played a lot of video games” while he was out rehabbing an injury, I guess inferring that Boogie should have been rehabbing 365/24/7, while collecting NIL money and scholarship benefits. And he was incensed that Arkansas had the audacity to sign Boogie, who’s from the Bronx, instead of kids from Fayetteville.
And I found the full texts of other columns where, again, he basically has established that he utterly despises college sports, period, on all levels and in all locales. So again, I don’t think he is specifically targeting the University of Alabama, he hates everyone.

I tried that but neither archive.org nor archive.ph is giving you anything beyond the first four paragraphs, which is where the paywall kicks in. I am positive there’s more to it than that, his columns are always way longer. They have his stuff locked down tight. I’ve even tried some sketchy ways to defeat paywalls and this may be the worst I have ever seen.

shooting murder of young mother Jamea Harris was revealed to have been the work of three ’Bama full-riders — including Darius Miles, charged with firing the gun along with a childhood friend, and freshman superstar and projected first-round NBAer Brandon Miller, who was not charged but allegedly supplied Miles and his pal with the gun.
Every word of this sentence is a lie, so I'm not sure why I'd care about what else he has to say.

The only person who was shooting firearms was a friend of an Alabama basketball player and the boyfriend of the lady who was caught in the crossfire.
The fact that case is going so slowly to get to trials tells me that the state doesn't feel very good about their case against Darius Miles and his friend to be quite honest.

Davis' trial is the only one that's had any movement so far. Nothing that has come out publicly looks good for the prosecution's case. The fact that the other shooters were never arrested, and they can't even get them to show up to testify, should tell everyone what they need to know.
ETA: It wouldn't bother me one bit if Darius Miles sues Tuscaloosa PD and the DA for everything they're worth after this is over. It isn't a stretch to believe this has cost him a potential basketball career.

Not that’s literally it. It’s a little drive by hit piece.

Then it's an absolute, complete nothing burger from someone who hates college sports.

So far in the Davis trial, Jamea Harris's cousin testified that Harris passed Cedric Johnson a gun in the car(which Miles said and the investigator claimed could have been food) and they confirmed there was a third shooter(shotgun, likely from the stolen car that was following Miles with Johnson).
It still doesn't make sense how this case has played out and that guy wasn't charged.

For those interested in following, Tuscaloosa’s patch.com site has some of the most thorough coverage:

Darius Miles is going to have a slam dunk lawsuit on his hands when this is over. The prosecutors have robbed him of his basketball future.

It's worth noting that during jury selection on Monday, one potential juror who struck from the panel, made the unsolicited comment that the first thing he would do if carrying out a drive-by shooting at night would be to turn off his headlights.

I wonder why the prosecution would possibly want this person removed from the jury pool?
