2018: SEC Regular Season Champs
2019: SEC Tournament Champs
2020:
2021:
2022: SEC Regular Season Champs
2023:
2024: SEC Tournament Champs
2025: ?SEC Regular Season Champs?

If Auburn is able to win one of the next three games, it will be a feat that no other SEC program has ever accomplished outside of Kentucky.

Not even the great Billy Donovan at Florida was able to produce 5 separate conference championship teams in an 8 year period. He got to 4/8 several times but not 5 in 8.

Kentucky has obviously achieved it many times, however you have to go back to 2011-2018 the last time they pulled off an 8-season stretch with 5 teams to win an SEC title of some form.

These are good times.

Bruce Pearl is a consistent winner no doubt. Let’s not compare a coach that has gone to one final four with one that has won 2 titles, played for another title, and went to a 4th final four.

And yet Kentucky has gone all the way.

Pearl has been the only coach that I didn't want to go to the barn, congrats.

Back when he was doing ESPN, I wanted Alabama to go after Pearl. Especially when the Gregg Marshall offer fell through.

I’m glad we have Oats but it’s surprising what Bruce has done at Auburn. It’s national title or bust. For him to do that at Auburn is damn impressive.

Are you declaring that Auburn is now a basketball school? Who cares about the mediocre football team?

Considering where we were at the end of the Barbee error, I don't think there is another coach in the land who could have done what he has done. Auburn basketball needed him in a big way, and he needed Auburn. I was surprised when we hired him instead of hiring some promising mid major guy whose career would soon crater. And I doubted he would stay any longer than it took him to get us back in the NCAAT, but he found a home at Auburn.

Oats is a very good coach too and bama can beat anybody when they are on their game, including Auburn. These last few games are going to be interesting.

I ran into Pearl in a Walgreens in Knoxville one evening. Had a nice little chat for about ten minutes. He’s one of the good guys.

Great accomplishment.

I'd take Pearl over Oats too..I'd rather get drunk with Pearl versus the OCD weirdo Oats - dude needs to get laid.

Four wins away from 6 in 8, with 3 wins in the SEC Tournament. And since there was no Tournament in 2020, that would be 7 in 8 years had they played and won in 2020.

And yet, are still 2 wins away from helping Bruce avoid having only 1 trip to the 2nd weekend in the same 8 year period.

Meanwhile, Oats has been in the 2nd weekend 3 out of the last 4 years and could make it 4 out of 5. Double the 2nd weekend trips in about half the time Bruce has been at AU…yikes

I think you misunderstood me.

Auburn has been dominant in the regular season under Bruce Pearl but when March Madness time comes around, they have yet to win jack shite. Which defers from Kentucky who actually has won hardware in the post-season.

So who gives a shite what Auburn is doing in the SEC regular season/tournament is my question.

On the same note, one could say who gives a crap whenever Alabama wins the SEC football championship when they end up crapping the bedsheets afterward.
