He just needs to quit doing this. Take Corso with him.

Yeah.
It it like an 80+ year old politician running for re-election. Retire and enjoy the last years of your life with your family.

Definitely needs to call it quits

I would allow him to keep calling games, but it better be Ball State vs Kent State.

Yeah, it hurts to listen to him

Disagree. He can and will be replaced by your typical sterile guy when he dies. I will enjoy his passion while we have it.

He makes my ears bleed. Good for him for beating cancer, but hes gotta go.

Butthurt the SEC has surpassed his beloved ACC. I remember calling him Duke Vitale in the early 90s.
Let him go out as he pleases. Him and Dykes together. I dont know

The only basketball guy I can't stand more than Vitale was Billy Packer. frick I hated that guy, such an obnoxious blowhard a-hole POS.

I’ll be happy if Auburn never comes out of his mouth.

Unfortunately, it's not nearly as bad as an 80+ year old politician.

Normally, I would agree but the situation with Vitale is a little different than say Lee Corso on Gameday.
As much as I respect Corso on College Gameday and will be sad the day he hangs it up, as a former stroke victim he's more of an example of someone who should hang it up and fully enjoy his retirement.
I'm kind of happy to see Dickie V calling games again. Ironically, the one thing that made Vitale so memorable and at times so annoying (his constantly yapping voice) will be somewhat impaired/muted due to the after effects of his battle with throat cancer.
I think both Vitale and Corso have inspiration to keep doing what they do instead of retiring and I think Vitale probably sees broadcasting now as a way to promote awareness and raise money for cancer research. I doubt he really needs the money. He probably does it to raise money for cancer and because he loves it much the same way Corso loved doing College Gameday
