We know what CKD says he saw in Milroe's eyes but the real question is what was actually in Milroe's eyes?

8 times a WR was open and would have scored if Milroe could have hit him in stride or even seen him.

3 times a WR would have likely made a big play we needed but Milroe led the WR out of bounds chasing the ball.

5 time a WR was open on a deep over route the the QB did not see him plus 1 time the over route was open and the throw was nowhere near the WR.

At least 13 times a WR was running wide open but the QB did not see him

2 time the WR was open on the right sideline (out and up) for a TD or long gain and the QB over threw the pass by more than just a little.

1 time the pass should never have been thrown resulting in an interception

2 times the throw was late and trailing and should have been intercepted but Michigan did not make the catch

But Milroe had fight in his eyes...who was he fighting for?

There will be some very tough decisions forthcoming in the next couple years. Byrne is on the clock.

We didn't need a OC, we needed a F magician.

Very thankful for the color analyst in the booth. Nice to see other camera angles that show the missed opportunities rather than just the actual mistakes on the primary view.

Incredible talent and apparently a good student. No idea how the game is still moving too fast for him

On a personal level, I have never been around the young man. However, it has long become clear that he cannot read a defense or follow through in his progressions regarding receivers. He just has no vision of the field. Many, many times this year, including today, I have seen WRs running wide open. I think AJ had a correct take on Jalen when he said Jalen has no plan before he takes the snap, and instead relies on his athletic ability.

One last point needs to be made; a lot of negative was said about the prior OC. In retrospect, he did a great job being able to have Jalen play at the level he did the last half of last season.

Tommy Rees deserves a gd Nobel for what he did with Milroe last year.

DeBoer...I saw the fight in his eyes. Well continuing the fight analogy, I guess he forgot that as a QB Milroe has a glass jaw.

As a sometimes Milroe apologist.....is he? Is he though? I think he inherited this "best athlete on the field" thing when he first broke a few mostly-straight runs. As a runner, I don't think he sees the field very well, doesn't turn up when he should, can't really make a man miss when he can't. He's just really fast in a straight line.

There were people blaming Tommy Reese last year for Milroe’s shortcomings.
The fact is, Milroe doesn’t need an OC, he needs Merlin Magician to turn him magically into an actual QB.

I explained this in the thread about the Campbell Trophy. The good student thing is a joke. His major exists to keep athletes eligible. You know what comes up when I search for professions with a 'sports management' major? Teaching gym. Think you could have done well in classes about how to teach kids to play dodgeball?

It is still beyond me that after what we saw in the 2022 A&M game, there wasn’t a full throated effort to find a better QB for 2023. We didn’t have to land a first round talent, but there with our resources & Saban’s reputation, there had to be a better option out there.

Just insane that we all knew it then and the guy still started two seasons.

They did go after what Saban thought were better options, the quarterbacks at NC and Miami, both turned him down and parlayed Nick's offer into a better deal with their respective teams...just goes to show that the Saban/Bama mystic doesn't always overcome the almighty $$$.

I know we tried with Maye and Van Dyke, but it shouldn’t have been limited to those two.

Also think DeBoer/UA shouldn’t have crowned Jalen as the returning starter last winter. It should’ve been a true open competition. Producing LANK movies, letting Milroe sit courtside with coaches, etc. only made things harder to have a competition for the starting job and made it more difficult to pull him when he became turnover machine.

If Ty Simpson is that bad, then he should’ve been told to hit the portal a while back.

Instead, Ty received offers from other schools to jump ship.

I thought a lot of it was his center couldn't snap the ball correctly, and a mistake-free operation would help him out.

Nope. He's just a frickin moron.

Thought it was business mgt. My bad. I hear you though. If you can teach them to dodge a wrench, they can dodge a ball.

Milroe knew exactly what he was doing. He’s a con artist.
