These are the 5 best teams in the league according to virtually every metric.
Auburn lucked up big time in the scheduling draw, as we have the fewest games against the rest of the group. Amongst these Top 5 SEC teams:
Bama and Tennessee play 6 games against the group (3 at home, 3 away).
Kentucky also plays 6 games against this group, but has 4 of them at home and just 2 on the road.
Florida plays just five games against these other opponents, but only one is at home and the other 4 are on the road.
Auburn only has to play 4 games against these other elite league opponents… 3 at home and only 1 on the road.
What a draw.

Sounds like if AU doesn’t win the SEC with that draw, they should just shut down the program. No reason to risk another loss to an Ivy League in the tournament.
In all seriousness though, congrats to AU on their likely upcoming regular season championship. That really is an incredible draw compared to the others and sometimes that’s what makes the difference in taking home the hardware (that or who stays the healthiest, and hope everyone stays healthy so SEC can be ready for NCAAT time).

This isn’t unfair. They’ve played one top 50 team in the NET so far and have been favored in every matchup.
UTk is in the same boat tbh, but the Illinois win bought them some capital.
EDIT: Forgot the Baylor win. Yeah UTk’s résumé is far more solidified.
