A coke, popcorn and a little conecuh sausage was 27 bucks. Will not buy anything at Coleman again….i do it every year…..never again.

You can certainly try to email them. I got my end of the season survey and prices were a part of it. I ranked prices very poorly like every year. Doesn’t seem to move the needle.

One of the most embarrassing things about this University is their greed and price charges. They've always been ridiculously high, even for stadium pricing. And they still screw the volunteer groups that run the concession stands.

The University doesn’t price the food and beverages, it’s all run by a third party vendor
Buying anything in BDS is never worth it anyway since it takes a full quarter to get through the line. Coleman is less of a mess but you’re always better off going immediately before the game

Sure enough.
It compares to going to the movie theater on prices.

The best part about basketball season is that it was perfectly normal to wear a down coat for most of the games, so I snuck in all kinds of stuff as a student. I once brought an entire cheesy gordita crunch box without incident (without the drink, but I had a method for that too)

They approve the actions of the vendor by setting the terms of the agreement and renewing the contract when it expires.
If they cared the contract would stipulate different terms.

The University has proven time and again they don’t give two doo doos about the fans. They only care about squeezing every last cent out of the fans.
I started eating just before the game and maybe get a Coke at the game and that’s it.
If people would en masse STOP getting concessions (or as little as possible), UA might get the idea. On the other hand, since there are idiots at the controls when it comes to these things, they’ll probably double the prices.
I feel certain the geniuses in the UA athletic department will negotiate another horribly bad deal with Nike.

I dare anyone in the UA athletic department to reply to this thread. We know at least one of you is seeing it. So ... do you have the guts to respond?

Incredibly lame excuse.
Who is in charge of the "3rd party vendor "?
The University actually screws that 3rd party vendor, too.
They bid it out to the lowest bidder, and then pressure them to perform.
University sits back and takes probably about 50-60% of gross concession receipts to do nothing more than to offer a place to sell concessions.

The University does not price the goods, and besides that most vendors will upcharge
There's a reason it's basically unheard of to have affordable food at a sporting event. Only one im aware of that doesn't bury you in costs is Mercedes Benz who just bakes it into the ticket price

A lot of those dudes behind the counter will sneak tips in without you even realizing it. I noticed it at the UGA game. That's why they don't let you touch the card reader. I don't mind leaving tips but don't do so without my knowledge.

If they wanted to set pricing for the products they could do so. It’s their stadium. They set the terms.
If they wanted to cap prices they could do so.
If they were unhappy with the vendor they could fire them and do things differently.
They don’t.

This is pretty much how it's always been, but they took it to another level a few years back when they started charging people to keep a spot on the season ticket waiting list. That's just pathetically embarrassing...and with NIL it's just getting worse. Instead of milking fans for more "collective" funding to pay players they might just need to stop paying college coaches $10 million a year.
Find the best high school coach out there...pay him $1 million and allocate the other $9 million to elite players to boost the roster if they want to embrace the new shite reality of college athletics.
