there is nothing traditionally southern about oklahoma.

missouri has cotton and rice fields, the ozarks, st. louis is a southern style city, iced tea/sweet tea was invented here I could go on at length.

oklahoma is entirely western, ya'll didn't even become a state until 1907, because there wasn't hardly no one there. and OKC is a western type city like wichita or denver, just because it's full of white trash doesn't make it southern. you need a certain type of charm and class that you sooners just don't have.

East Texas is the more southern part lol. Texas is like missouri half and half.

half southern and half western/plaines.

I've lived in STL most of my life, and St. Louis does not look to the South for its influence, it has always looked to the East. Witness all the Old Money culture with the great free History, Science and Art Museums, the free world-class Zoo and the internationally renowned Botanical Garden. A lot of that came from Old Money originating in the the East.

And we in STL do NOT drink sweet iced tea. It's considered an abomination here by most.

I'll grant you that southern Missouri looks more to the South. But KC definitely looks to the West for its influence.

Calling Oklahoma white trash is rich coming from someone who lives in Methouri. There’s nothing southern about Methouri.

We haven't considered ourselves "southerners" since the 1830's. Our heritage is a blend of crazy settlers, Mexican, Comanche & German/Czech.

Missou is Midwest. Kind of like Illinois . Missouri’s is almost entirely north of Oklahoma.

The south is the south in it’s key cities and plantation houses Otherwise it is rural America

Oklahoma doesn’t have any southern style cities. It does have Casinos, horse racing, Lakes which is in common with the south Lots of varied rural envirnmets like the sour forest and lakes. But it also has the plains in west Oklahoma , which is not like the south, more like Texass

Florida definitely has some non-southern aspects about it due to yankees, but the Flo-Grown crowd saves it.

It’s Oklahoma.

St. Louis literally turns more southern as you cross the Jefferson County line, gets more and more southern as you hit 55 south to Memphis. The Ozarks also have a southern feel. None of it is swamp-rat southern or GA style southern but it’s damn close to eastern TN, KY and AR.
