"And the only team that could have an argument to get in with three losses, if Georgia actually plays in the SEC championship game, they really shouldn’t be penalized. If they would happen to lose the game, they would end up with three losses.”

If he said that before this past weekend, he is about to be changing his tune.

He’s not wrong. I don’t think any three loss team should be in unless they win conference championship game.

Ole Miss lost at home to 4-8 Kentucky. Ole Miss was Kentucky’s only SEC victory this season.

Glass houses and all that.

Objectively y’all really think a 10-2 or 10-3 Miami should go in over Bama?

I think Alabama is a better team than Miami. Alabama has two unranked losses. But so does Miami. Alabama has three ranked wins plus a road win against LSU. Miami has zero ranked wins. Miami’s best wins are Florida, Duke and Louisville.

I think Alabama would smash Miami.

But I don’t think the committee will put 9-3 Alabama in over 10-2 Miami because of the uproar it would cause from the ACC. Again.

Serious questions.
1. Why is Ohio State losing to Michigan an argument for being in Playoff?
2. Why is South Carolina losing to Bama an argument for being ahead of Bama for playoff spot ? Seems we beat them.
3. Do you think SMU, Arizona State, Clemson, Miami, or even Tenn, Texas, Georgia, Penn State would want to play Bama on New Year’s Day?

Bama is type team when on can beat anybody. Yes, they are a chameleon this year and you just don’t know which team will show up.

Prediction for all you haters: Bama gets in at last spot and wins it all. Hahaha

I think there will always be this correct argument from an sec team. The short answer is you are right that Ala is likely better than many who will play in final 12 spot, although this year Ala might also lose to any of those teams. But my point is if you want to make it to the playoffs it’s not enough to be a better team from the sec, you have to have a better win loss record. Otherwise, South Carolina and Ole Miss and LSU is even playing great right now.

I don't disagree with him, this is not a play-off ready team. But if they get in, I'll watch and root for them. But I'd much prefer to see them miss the CFP triggering (not that way) Milroe to sit out and declare the draft so we can move on with Simpson or Longeran under center.

Miami also has beaten a grand total of zero good teams. Bama has two really high quality wins. I hope you get left out just because your Bama but objectively you are more deserving than Miami and SMU. I think a good conversation could be had about Ole Miss though.
