The win Friday night rekindled hope. It was a classic. The loss last night reminded me that our bats are simply not with us. It’s not just against good pitching as Northwestern State midweek pitchers rocked us like a baby. Maybe the SEC tournament will wake us up. I hope Jay can figure this out.
I went to bed after the 8th and it looked like Jay was calling it a night with Mayers. I watched the replay of the 9th and would agree that these players will never forget tha game
Didn’t Sanders have as a receiver the top draft pick. There is no question that Sanders is a gifted athlete and much more gifted than our qb pick even if he doesn’t have the size and perhaps the arm strength. But if you have watched Sanders’s he isnt as quick to see his receiver and throw his passes. He may end up being the best qb ever and if he is he will get to play and make money until then the folks white and black and all other who evaluate players with there money disagree with many claiming race.

Boy could we have used Dutton this year. You never know and a few of the guys we gained look great and have done well but many have not looked good. Who knows maybe next year it will click for a few of these guys.

Frey really hasn’t done much either so put Jones back at first and DH Brown. Frey will be the one to sit. Braswell needs to play third but could use a DH.
NSU s mid week bull pen is better than ours. We have greater potential maybe with what we have but they threw strikes and mixed pitches well to an LSU lineup that once had what I thought was the best offense in college baseball. Tip of the hat to the NSU coaches and players they came to win. We seemed to be experimenting with our lineup some and were embarrassed. Jay we better keep the experimenting part at practice and give some respect to all teams or be prepared to be humbled.

Defer tops. It would stop the drop outs from ever having received it and you might keep some of our brightest at home. The graduate could decide to leave the State for something better perhaps or stay in Louisiana for a determined period and have TOPS help pay their education
I feel better about half of the wok articles I read on the internet. I’m beginning to think it’s not intentional rather just a forced piece of journalism written by AI
Well, if you know the solution you better pass on the measures to our Governor. His many bills last year did no good. I have a feeling that the tort rerform he vetoed would have worked. But if his bills this year do not work I believe that the good he has done in criminal law will not be enough to get him reelected. Unfortunately, his hunting trips and closeness to trial lawyers will leave an impression on the voters who hoped their rates would go down. His throwing the duly State wide elected Ins Commissioner, elected without opposition, under the bus will also doom another Governor run and perhaps the Ins. Commisioner, as well. The voters expect the rates to be competitive with other states and are not satisfied being the State with the highest rates.
If medical bills have been paid by an insurance company on your behalf as a result of an accident that wasn’t your fault, you should not be entitled to recover the cost of the medical bills paid and a jury should have a right to hear that your medical bills have been paid. There are penalties against insurance adjustors who do not fairly deal with their insureds. Our system is broken and there is little competition from insurance companies in this state with more insurance companies leaving and refusing to sell insurance here. If insurance companies are not attracted back we will continue to pay the highest rates in the country while our governor hunts with Gordon. I am as conservative as they come and recognize the work the Governor has done and is doing in criminal law but our insurance rates don’t go down after the many odd ball bills he passed last year and those he says he will pass this year then he deserves to lose the next election. Remember the tort reform bill last year that he vetoed at the behest of the trial lawyers association.
It certainly looks bad when the Governor is hunting with Gordon and finding that the Insurance companies are part of the problem. It sounds like from his skinning comment that the Insurance companies are half of the problem. Who knows what he thinks but the problem is that Insurance companies cant compete here. There was a bill for tort reform that would have capped awards last year that the Governor vetoed. I know that he has pushed numerous bills last year that didn't work in bringing down the cost of insurance and he has proposed bills this year that better work in my opinion or it will be fatal to him for any future elections. Apparently he isn't considering the bills of the commissioner of Insurance, Tim Temple, who indicated that he hasn't heard from the Governor in 10 months. Maybe because the Governor was busy hunting Turkeys with you know who. At this point, the Insurance companies have left Louisiana. No Insurance companies, no good insurance prices. The same cant be said of vehicle accident attorneys. You can find them by simply driving any road in Louisiana.
I understand your point that we have to deal with the here and now but Shaq is a difference maker and I understand and agree with him and Saban that this isn’t the solution. Shaq will be a part of the fix. In the meantime, I wish he could convince and support a High School player to come to LSU until he declared for the NBA. My dream, a big that would be a difference maker like Shaq, not only as a college player but NBA, a generational player.

re: Hahahaha - Big Dick Dutton

Dutton needs some midol.
Trump explained this week that he was negotiating with Iran directly after some indication it would be indirect. He has said and I think that you can take him at his word that if a deal isn’t had that bombs will fall. A quick search on Google will inform you that we have B1 bombers moved into a nearby area with the ability to carry out the dropping our most effective bunker busting bombs on Irans nuclear site’s. I believe that he would rather resolve this but understands the consequences of a nuclear Iran and the potential of them in an attack on most of the world including our military bases in the region. Hope this helps.

He wasn’t as bad as some of the fans calling the game. Sounded like a clown show behind him.
Well you were ok with shutting down the government and schools and killing the economy that T is trying to fix. You don’t have to take the medicine but the alternative a continued huge trade deficit continued to grow. You were mad that Biden couldn’t get a bill passed to fix the border and that was the reason you believed the border was in crisis. T showed you that you were wrong by fixing it without any bills. Just admit that you might be wrong and let Trump work. Vietnam and Israel have already come to the table. Trust me that this will hit Canada and Mexico much harder than us. Maybe we can also get them to step up in other areas as well. Others will come around as well
NO way Frey is going to be drafted as a DH. Did he hurt his throwing arm.
I thought Stanford was robbed of a hit in this series. It was reviewed but the call stood out when he looked safe. In another at bat I thought he missed a squeeze sign. All in all I like him. He looks a bit unorthodox at times on base and at the plate maybe just not sure of himself. Looks very good on defense. Plenty of speed on defense.

re: Trump voters melting over Tariffs

Posted by ulmtiger on 4/4/25 at 1:42 pm
If the democrats are unable to slow or stop Trumps policies on the border and with Tariffs through forum shopping with liberal judges we will continue to win as a nation. Remember when Biden said Congress would have to pass a law regarding the border and were upset when Trump stopped the law. That law would have allowed more immigrants to come across our border than are presently coming across without such a law. So where is the failure except with the prior administration but liberals were ranting then as they are now about Tariffs. The Tariffs will absolutely put our country in such a better position. Companies are already coming to America within a week of the announcement. Vietnam has agreed to no Tariffs. Is this a win in the democrats minds, No, simply because they hate Trump. Like Reagan, history will reflect what an awesome President he is and what a disaster Biden was.
