I'm going with Auburn. They've lost some close games, they played every team close, they have a good recruiting class coming in. If Freeze can get a good QB, (like Oregon and Miami did this year) and they will be in the playoffs next year.

If we can predict it, will it really be "the surprise team"?

I'll go with Aggies
After two more losses this year gets them to 8-4 they will rebound next season and be the surprise team

Agreed on Auburn
They’re recruiting too well and allocating resources in a way that it should start to show more

Florida if Lagway stays healthy and we make some good NIL portal pickups.

Aubum but that’s not too much of a surprise… they’ll be loaded for sure and their defense is already salty this year.

I like South Carolina. Perhaps they'll contend for a playoff spot next season.

Everyone predicted it would be Auburn this year and that didn't exactly work out.

Texas

Everyone will be surprised to see them win their 2nd SEC title in a row.

Will not be Ole Miss. Think we lose about 90% of the team, unless we really get the check book out again.

Florida and LSU. barring a tough schedule, I can see both making improvements.

What needs to happen for Arkansas to get it together? The running game seemed good, your qb seems like he has potential and you did beat Tennessee. I'm guessing maybe to raid the portal.

Back in the day, I would have looked at the depth charts of each team to see who they had coming back and would make my prediction based on that, along with their upcoming schedule. Today I will say, "whoever does best in the transfer portal" as my answer.

Lose a lot on a dominant defense next year. But HS recruiting is going strong, and Beamer has shown an ability to find impact players in the portal. They'll be good.

If Sellers continues to progress, they'll be as good as he takes them.

Ya’ll sleeping on OU. This year could not have gone worse.

Top 5 WRs out all year

Losing OLine to draft and playing trie freshmen

5* QB bombing out

RBs out

OC fired mid season

All its going to take is a good OC hire and this will be turned around fast. Get your licks in now while we’re down. The OLine will be more seasoned. Great incoming class. New OC likely has a QB to bring. WRs get healthy. Add in some portals.

Defense is good but we truly don’t know how much better they will be if have a decent offense. Our defense has opposed the most plays of any team in CFB. Get them some help and I bet they gain another notch or two.

Because Lane stacked the roster with portal players trying to make one last push to get the hell out of Oxford.
