Count two more losses in the series for Texas. Right now, Notre Dame leads, 9-3.

EDIT: I need to lay off Texas for awhile......the Dawgs ate up all the taco meat in Austin they could find earlier and I'm satisfied with that -- for now.

Seriously, this is good for Texas....Georgia's already completed a home & away series with the Irish, winning both games. Let's hope the Longhorns can complete the sweep as well.

Sic'em 'Horns!

Ya, about that, we did a home and home with them in the Charlie Strong era so pretty sure we are still the big brother here...

That’s a solid move by the AD.

Regardless of how ND actually performs on the field in ‘28 & ‘29, they’ll forever be perceived as a formidable opponent. Given the SOS flak the horns are currently catching, having ND on the agenda will likely improve their credibility.

And fans from UTex will certainly be happy with it.

Good for the horns.

Sounds great now until either team happens to be having a down year when they play 4 years from now. Then they’ll be accused of scheduling softies

Texas did a home and home with ND in 95 and 96.

Yeah, you can usually say the same about Michigan.. and Oklahoma.. and Florida..

It is what it is.. I'm glad we are playing the games. We should have a 9 game schedule by then as well.

Next 4 years after 2025

Ohio State, Michigan, @ Notre Dame, Notre Dame

Oklahoma
Texas A&M
Arkansas

Georgia -------- Alabama
Florida --------- Auburn
Vanderbilt ----- Tennessee
Miss State ---- Ole Miss
Kentucky ------ S Carolina
LSU -------------Missouri

Looks good to me.

That’s always the risk of scheduling several years out; not much anyone can do about it.
But voters and the media (and fans) will likely be far more impressed by a team like the Irish than by the likes of UTSA or ULM (no offense intended to Roadrunners and Warhawks fans).

This will be the 3rd Home & Home with ND since the 90's. Texas has also had H&H with USC, Ohio St, Penn State, Michigan, Alabama and 1/2 of LSU in recent years.

Ironically, Texas' 1st year in the SEC has given Texas their worst Strength of Schedule since, probably the SWC (pre DKR) , ... maybe forever. Hmmmm?

The out of conference schedule has never been an issue.

That’s fair.

Most of the criticism UTex has drawn this year is from their shockingly unprecedented conference draw and the horns’ subsequent rankings.

The frustration isn’t necessarily directed at the horns but at the situation; that’s on the SEC.

Aren’t your upcoming “strong” OOC opponents Arizona State & Louisville?

Yes.
And if we have an extraordinarily weak conference schedule those years and are ranked at the top of the polls, I fully expect us to receive [deserved] condemnation.
