I’d do it for a watch.

If they want to give that much to him, that’s on them. I don’t get why I’m supposed to care

That seems like a wild risk to me. Even the highest rated QBs are like 50/50 to ever be high level starters.

$2.6M a year

Brock Purdy is in the last year of a 4 year, $3.7M contract with an average annual salary of $934,252

When a kid flat out tells you no, you can be "prepared" to make whatever offer you want as a last ditch effort.

If I was him, Id say give me $15million.

From what little I've heard about his recruitment, Michigan is going to do whatever they think they have to do to get him. If he says no to that, they're just going to keep coming with more offers.

I can kind of understand the rationale of giving a Cam Ward $3-4M for one season. I can’t wrap my mind around the risk involved with giving this kind of deal to a high school prospect.

shite, would be tough to turn down and don’t think LSU would match.

Why is this an issue to you? Last night, you stated that you hope Ole Miss buys every player out there during a discussion of the recruit Ole Miss flipped from Bama in which there was talk of a significant payment.

Dumb. If you want to spend that much money on a qb go after one in the portal that has proven he can play at the D1 level.

Agree - makes a lot more sense to give a big bag to a veteran who you know will change your offense for 1 season than a 18 year old, even if he is insanely talented.

It will also be interesting when the first one of these kids who gets an extended deal busts and the collective tries to weasel out of it.

So schools can straight-up buy players now? Not even attempting to masquerade as NIL?

Using the obvious example of Nico Iamaleava at UT, in the grand scheme of things, he’s had a perfectly reasonable start to a career as a 5* QB, but I don’t think anyone would argue that UT looks likely to get their money’s worth on that rumored investment.

Basically for this level of NIL commitment to be worth it, Underwood would need to pan out early in his career on the scale of a Deshaun Watson, T Lawrence, Tua, etc.

I told everyone here that now that it is legal to pay players, the B1G would begin to dominate because it has more money than anyone.

As an LSU fan I wouldn’t blame this kid a bit for de
-committing. He apparently has Michigan by the balls, he should hold out for 20 million

You also said Kamala would win easily.
