Tack on at least a first half suspension and call it good.

Obviously written by the PR dept.

There has to be consequences for actions. Isn't that what they always preach?

At a minimum he should sit the first half Saturday.

After that move forward...but if nothing happens, the wrong message is sent. Be a players coach if you want...but don't be a doormat.

If he trots out there Saturday for our first def series, I will lose some respect for DeBoer.

I believe that Malachi truly loves the university and was truly pissed off. I think he is a good kid but definitely had an immature meltdown. He should publicly apologize to the Vandy/Fans, privately apologize to the team, get his arse ran in practice and suspended for the first half.

I'll call it good.

Malachi is a 23 year old man. He's not a child.

If DeBoobs doesn’t discipline him then it sends the wrong message to the rest of the team. Period.

Make you wonder how long he's been like this.

The problem now is HC has said it's ok, he's just passionate. And our players have said it's not ok. The discontinuity is ungood.

Did he get an ice cream cone when meeting with Coach on Sunday?

If it's only the first series, I'm still losing respect.
One series could be just 3 or 4 plays and be playing by the 10 minute mark of the first quarter.

This truly needs to be a whole half, if not full game.

The loss to Vanderbilt could be just a one off, major learning experience for everyone, or it can be what derails an entire season.

One player's not playing will not derail a season.

That's a good start.

Good for you, Malachi. Life is full of learning moments, and there will be plenty of moments where the only person around to pick you up is yourself. Very fortunate to have a team to help pick you up this time. Pay it forward

This is what you call "The bare minimum". He posted something that was typed up on his iphone. He may not have even written it. This means nothing.

No, that is called step 1.

As long as he follows through he's on schedule.

This … the statement is positive as long as he believes and lives up to it even if he didn’t write it, but there must be some actual consequences.

We all made mistakes at 23. Heck some of us are still making mistakes.

This was a good 1st step

I guarantee you he didn't write it. He was sent a draft before it was released I'm sure.

It's really an easy decision for DeBoer here.

Make it the entire game and have the team re-vote on captains and I think it's good.

Fine him. Teach him what the NFL is like. These dudes want to pretend they're professional? Treat them as such. Fine him for his antics.

And move the frick on. It was the worst 10 minutes of his career. shite happens. You people have responded viscerally to a loss to Vandy like it's the end of the program. I imagine Moore feels a bit more invested and therefore upset at the outcome of the game Saturday than you idiots calling for coaching turnover.
Coaching turnover ruins programs. You want to be UF? You want to be barn? Because that's how you become UF or barn.
