How many years will Coach Deboer stay at Bama assuming he stays healthy?

What will his overall record be and how many SEC titles and natties.

My guess at least 15 years with an 85% winning record. 5 SEC titles and 3 natties.

There is too much parity in the SEC with UGA, OM, both UT's coaches being young. This would put him at around age 65 when he retired.

No idea but if he keeps winning I think he'll be here a while. Someone mentioned the NFL which got me thinking he might consider that

But he said something yesterday about enjoying shaping and developing young men, similar to Saban's statements in the past.

So if that's the case, several years and maybe a couple of natties

I think NS set the standard for college coaches taking a stab at the NFL. Spurrier did it also. NS was an NFL guy as an assistant coach but made his fame at a college coach

The NFL terrifies me because he seems like he'd be a perfect fit there.

Gotta hope that Grubb doesn't get in his ear about giving the NFL a shot.

If he retires from Bama at 72, I'm thinking he'll have at LEAST 5.... He's that good of a coach and now you've given him they keys to the CREAM of CFB....

What he did to Kirby that first half was a thing of BEAUTY!! Offensively AND defensively...

I would say after 2 Nattys but if you listen to him, he is a leader and teacher of young men. His xs and os make him a good fit for the pros but who he seems to be as a person isn't. What he does see like is a guy who likes a challenge and if he reaches his goals at Bama, he may look for the next challenge ie the NFL.

I believe the most undervalued factor in all such discussion is the happiness of the wife.

Happy wife, happy coach's life, and he hangs around a while.

Why do we do this to ourselves? He’s four games in. I swear this question was asked of Saban for 17 years. Just enjoy the ride.

If he wins a championship in his first three years he will be a hot target for the NFL and will bolt by year 5.

He was never going to be our next 10+ year coach, and that’s ok

If he wins a national title and becomes our 6th NC winning coach, I will wish him well. I said the same thing about Saban in 2007 lol.

I thought it was always assumed he would try the NFL at some point.

People enjoy being miserable.

Even after such an amazing game we have people search for some reason to be miserable still.

Who DA is miserable. An innocent question really. You assume you know my mental makeup. I hope he is coaching by 80. Unlike NS he has adapted to the NIL and seems to be ok with how to do it.

It says a lot about your mental makeup actually.

Why would you be thinking that after 4 games into his first season?

an innocent question. People have hemmed and hawed about everything related to the game. So anything that is not X and O related makes me mentally unstable?
