Mississippi State Athletics Announces Historic $8 Million Investment in the Football Program which is taking place in a week of announced commitments by recruits.

I like college football, but I can’t imagine pissing away $8 million to pay a bunch of “students” to play football for my alma mater.

This was given to the school and not an NIL collective right? So it can't be used on players until revenue sharing is fully passed?

From what I was read, it was given for the purpose of a tax write off. If the collective is an LLC does this fit that category? I'm not the smartest on tax law. Someone help me out here.
