Third's Honest Assessments Of Auburn Through Week 3

First of all, let me say that I do a livestream show on Streamyard/Facebook/IG/Twitch/Youtube on Tuesdays & Thursdays and I think you all would enjoy. Its interactive. Follow or subscribe or whatever. Lol
Next, the assessments:
- I think you play Hank until you can't. Hopefully that doesn't happen, but we've seen it plenty. Maybe some bench time gets Payton's mind right.
- Our OLine has got to improve like TODAY. They've been bad for entirely too long. I expected much better from them than they've given so far.
- The WRs are light years better than they've been in the last 4-5 years. EASILY. Just need to have a QB and OLine help them out.
- The RBs are productive and probably need more touches, but they also have to stop putting the ball on the ground. Auburn has way too man turnovers through 3 games.
- The DL outside of Keldrick Faulk has struggled more than I expected. Should be more dominant against the 3 teams we've faced. It's really irritating. Really disappointed with the pass rush.
- The LBS have been ok but have missed some tackles and disappeared. Mausi has missed a lot of tackles bu has been solid for the most part.
- The Secondary has struggled. They should move Keionte Scott back to the nickel, Lee on the outside and I guess Kite. I really can't get a read on them. Thompson and Wooden at S... I guess. It's really a clusterfrick back there.
Not too concerned with the ST right now.

OL is going to suck in SEC play. Rather than trot out 4 WRs or 3 WRs + 1 TE, we need to go to base package of 2 TEs + 2 WRs to give Hank extra help. Sucks that Frazier got hurt but no idea how good he was.
Defense sucks - too late to teach them how to tackle. It’s like they never faced a live game type situation in the off-season or camps. Our offense is not going to be able to keep up and we will have to keep abandoning the run game halfway through to keep up with the scoreboard.
Best I can hope for is we get out of the season without major injuries to our best players and get some better players in the next cycle.

Hunter looks slow. He did some last year too. Something just seems different with him.

To be fair, we’ve been sending majority of our DL players into pass coverage than actually rushing the passer.
Defense overall it still looks like a lot are stilly trying to figure out the scheme. It is supposed to be very simple, but it looks like they are thinking a lot. I’ve got some schematic issues with it to begin with, but overall they still seem to just be thinking way too much.

Agree that we need to play Hank until we can't. He has struggled at times but could get it done if the offensive line was better.

The team hasn't taken the strides it needed to in year 2 under Freeze, mainly in terms of QB play.
We might not have the talent of Bama/Georgia, but we still have talent to compete with Arky/UK/Mizzou coming up. Hopefully we can or it says quite a bit about Freeze.
