He is done. Hopefully they don’t hire Matt Rhule.

I was wondering if the score would have provided a bit of false hope in a smoke screen.

Big money saw right through that and presumably will be making a quick move.

An insider said no announcement till October, but if this meeting is happening and if it's about Napier, then it's either firing him as they already have the buyout money or resolving to fire him then insuring the buyout money is there.

That seems to me like an announcement gets made tomorrow, perhaps Monday.

I've been listening to Gator stuff all night and people are besides themselves and fed up. They don't like the performance, the lack of fire, his answers to questions, etc - after the Miami game Ron Zook said that if he did what Napier has been doing he would have been murdered. Ron Zook was so much better and still got hammered.

I've never seen the fan base this fed up. People are simply done. Even when things imploded with Muschamp and Mullen. People weren't like this when Pell fell apart with infractions or even when Doug Dickey made one boneheaded move after another and squandered tons of talent at UF in the 70s. This has never happened, IMO.

It makes no sense to wait until October, what’s the point?

The players basically quit twice in 3 games. TWICE IN THREE GAMES.

Like what’s the point of waiting?

"Napier is a good man and deserves half a season" or some nonsense like that. Should have fired him like a dog after year 2

October is only two weeks away but I agree - what's the point in waiting?

Maybe Florida just isn’t a good job anymore. Dan Mullen had success at Mississippi State, but couldn’t get it done at Florida.

Why would any coach want to go to Florida for a rebuild when you get fired before your first recruiting class even finishes a redshirt sophomore season?

You average 9 wins a season at State and theyll build you a statue. Little different at a program like UF that expects to be in the title runnin every season.

Not many schools would let any HC continue when the team he has assembled shows zero signs of improvement

TheCAW probably kidnapped the UFaG BOT and has them held at gunpoint until they many the move.

Didn’t Mullen win 10 plus games his first 3 seasons?

Mullen didn't want to recruit and was looking for NFL jobs.
Remember him saying "it isn't recruiting season" or something like that and Kirby basically called him out on it.

He thought he would get a call from the NFL and didn't happen.
