Matt Stafford thinks calling the Dawgs/barking at people is trashy.

I get that he doesn't want to bark, but he said he doesn't give them a "Go Dawgs" back which is kind of shitty imo. I know he wasn't raised in Georgia, so he didn't grow up a Georgia fan, but come on man.

And I am not ragging on Georgia here, it is just a reminder that some players buy in more than others. I know his parents went to FSU and were big Mark Richt fans, but you spent 3 years there, so you would think he is a bigger fan. Of course he is from Highland Park and now lives in Cali, so college football ruffians are probably beneath him. Pardon me and pass the fricking grey poupon motherfricker.

Dude doesn’t need to sell insurance in Athens or do sports radio in Georgia. It happens, players have their careers and move on.

Erik Ainge does a sports talk show in Knoxville and has to deal with the fans at the piss trough in Neyland. Different mindsets.

I've seen some Georgia twitter fuss on this...I dont care one bit.

He and his wife are Silver Circle members (minimum of $1 million donation over a 5 year period) and, best I can tell, is the only NFL guy in recent years to be a member of that group.

We went to Athens for Mett's return. Having grown men bark in our face was wild. We chalked it up to a gator chomp or tiger bait, but it was on another level.

Maybe when he thinks about Georgia it reminds him of his wife hooking up with the backup QB.

My friend and I went to the 2005 SEC Championship game when UGA beat our arse. We were hosted by a group of UGA fans. They treated us well and didn't even talk shite after the game. I guess it just depends on which fans you come across. I've seen horror stories on this board about LSU fans mistreating opposing fans in BR, but I've never once seen anything like that in person.

Nobody barked in your face. Yes, grown men bark when they call the dogs, but I have never once seen someone bark in an opposing fans' face.

He and his wife are walking gaffes. They would do well in talking less or not at all.

I've been to Athens five times and have seen grown men bark in the faces of SC fans all five times. A large majority of UGA fans are a lot of fun. But the bad fans at UGA are on another level and can completely ruin the experience for visitors.

I didn't know that was a real thing. There's a fine line between funny and stupid.

Damn, I thought UGA was hovering a little higher than that on the cognition radar.

Only UGA fans deny this.

Their recent success has attracted a lot of trashy folks. The random UGA fan barking at people in public is absolutely more a thing now than it was 5 years ago.
