I don't like Notre Dame at all. But they are crazy to make these brass helmets.
THey need to go back to the pre-brass helmet era that was synonymous with winning (though weak scheduled/media preferred).

Their helmets were always supposed to look like that. They're simply gold chrome with flakes now. But they've always been gold with flakes. They're just now able to make them chrome due to advances in making helmets. There wasn't any chrome helmet paint in the 70s,80s, 90s, etc etc.
The golden dome they're supposed to emulate is also chrome irl.

okay. but they still look horrible with this new technology you speak of.
A Tony Rice helmet is way better'n an Ian Book helmet.
