Funny. Seems I remember that by the time LSU got off to a 2-3 start that year, their fans rushed to assure everyone that the whole season didn't count. For anyone.

Because Alabama successfully endured the hardship and deprivation of the season better than any other team and excelled?

LSU fans have quitting built into them and their character and they think everyone is like that. It's due to the muddled heritage.

He hasn't become the best QB to ever play in the NFL, like Burro, but he was a great college QB.

No sisters of the poor to pad the stats. No school for the blind to hide behind to declare we're the greatest.
10 SEC games in a row and then another SEC team in the SECCG. That's 11 straight wins against SEC teams to win the conference and make the playoffs and BAMA went undefeated. They went on to destroy Notre Dame and an outstanding Ohio State team for the NC with Justin Fields.
Only ALABAMA has beaten 13 straight power 5 teams in a row to win a championship. BAMA produced the Heisman winner in DeVonta Smith and the Doak Walker winner in Najee Harris.
It will never be duplicated again. Simply the greatest of all time.

Yes, yes it was. No other team dominated its opponents as bad as Bama did that season, while having to take extra precautions not to get sick and overcoming many obstacles during a pandemic. Imagine trying to discount a bunch of young men that went through that and still showed up to do their jobs the best they could during a time like that while many people cowered in their homes hoping the government would bail them out. That season should never be discounted, or discredited, but should garner them praise and extra respect

It’s an impressive feat but claiming they’re the “best ever” is a false claim. We have no metric for analyzing how they would fare against other top teams.
