CNBC reporting adding 4 to 8 teams to the tournament via more play-in games to fill out the field of 64. All about the $$

So dumb. Why water down one of the few events you actually do well?

Before long march madness will end on Memorial Day. 362 teams will start the tournament and every player will get a trophy showing they participated.

According to the search results, there are 362 institutions classified as Division I (including those in the process of transitioning from other divisions). Additionally, 203 institutions in one of the NCAA’s other two divisions compete or will compete in Division I in at least one sport.

Only the NCAA can mess up the best thing they have going

Over time the college football playoff will grow as well to where we are calming the feelings of a 7-5 team that did not get in.

More games to gamble on. Plain and simple.

shite like that is why I quit watching the NCAA BBall Tourney a long time ago. It's a joke
The CFB playoff will likely go down the same BS rabbit hole

It's the only thing the NCAA really makes any money on. Considering the recent settlement for paying players, I'm pretty sure that's why they are thinking about doing this.

This may help Bruce get past the first weekend

Hate to see it expand never liked the early play in games.

My only issue is IF you're going to expand, DON'T just have some slots with a play-in game & the rest as is.

I’ll give you two guesses, but you’ll only need one.

“This thing works exceptionally well. We should fix it.”

It's interesting that they can field a tournament of this size, but for CFB: let's do 4 slots for 5 conferences.

I would stop the 16 v 16 match-ups.. they won their conference tournament, let them start in the main first round.
Just change it to where it's the last 12 teams in. Have a trip header each day.

What 16/16 matchups occur between conf. champs?

why penalize sec and big ten for the gauntlet they have to go through compared to other teams
will be some teams from these conferences whose record might not reflect the strength of their team compared to less challenging conferences
no different then baseball when you look at how competitive the sec is
