A likable man in an irritating sort of way. College football was more interesting with him in it.

Sounds like Jimmy Johnson is gonna have to hurry if they're ever going to have that fight.

Go easy, Lou.

I met him and spoke with him on college sports in general. He was not arrogant on the subject matter of LSU but at every turn of the conversation he had a dig on LSU. When I pushed him directly on LSU he made it perfectly clear that he had major issues. Let me quote him, "LSU players are at LSU because Notre Dame doesn't want them"! PLEASE!

Love Lou Holtz, fantastic human being. "Happiness is nothing more than having a bad memory." So true!

Lou is getting up in age. He has made his contributions to college football. His family, friends and the college football world value him!

A group of us in FCA went to see him speak when we were in High School because they were playing in the Sugar Bowl. It was a great speech.

So sorry to hear this. He was a really good coach everywhere he went but I enjoyed his commentary even more. A good man that left his mark on the world.

1 year with the jets but I don’t think it was a very successful season and he went back to college coaching

Always loved him since he benched his star running back for rules violation the night before the Orange? Bowl game.

The sub was fantastic and because the starter the next season.

Sorry to hear about his decline. If fans here didn't know, he 'HATED' LSU. Yep, I spoke to him directly after a speech he gave. Yes, he was a great speaker and most likely a good person (didn't know him personally). BUT, he did hate LSU!

Bro, there are far worse things he could have done in life besides hate a football team.
