Shouldn't that be a Pine? With tar on the glove?
Seems weak.
Do wood, or go back to Mommy.

You certainly didn’t use your PhD to write this.

Can we use our critical thinking caps and ascertain why that may be?

There's a whole crew in Indonesia getting $2.25 a day to write compelling topics such as these

I would say this is an old man yelling at the clouds post but they’ve been using metal bats for 50 years.

Donate more $$$ to your program so they can afford wooden bats. Could become a recruiting draw possibly

Clearly you are an idiot. But I’ll answer your question. Wood bats are more expensive over the course of a season because they will need to be replaced multiple times. Almost all NCAA baseball teams lose money so it’s not financially feasible to have everyone play with wood.

You are trying to suggest that multi million dollar athletic departments that are paying coaches and AD's untold millions of dollars a year, building multi million dollar facilities regularly will not spend a few hundred dollars a year to avoid using softball bats for baseball?

College programs can't afford all the bats it would take. Metal is cheaper and safer for the players.

Some would, sure.
A lot can’t afford it though. Or just aren’t willing to. You think Evansville is gonna start paying for wooden bats?

That's correct. They're paying coaches untold millions of dollars per year in sports that produce revenue. College baseball is not one of those sports, except for maybe 2-4 teams in the country.
Also, good wooden bats cost almost as much as metal bats....so you're not looking at a few hundred dollars total. Many MLB players go through dozens of wood bats in a season (some over 100) due to wear and tear, so you're probably looking at well over $10K a year for the average college team to use wooden bats.

I wish they would use wood bats especially in the CWS

Metal pings harder, though.
Isn't that telling your kids that they are better than they actually are in the sport?
It feeds their ego.
Like giving a tennis racket to a small, 10 year old, Chinese Badminton kid.

Not surprisingly, it would only produce a hollow, dull sound coming into contact with your head.

Crow Bars are better for that.
