Hal actually brings up some good points from a legal standpoint.

This will ultimately result in a settlement or dismissal. I just hope we aren’t dragged through the mud to get there.

Perfect setup for Florida. They get rid of Napier with cause and can go find a better coach.

this has nothing to do with getting rid of Napier.

Sadly, Napier isn’t going anywhere. I just hope this doesn’t distract him too much.

Statement from LifeWallet CEO and founder John Ruiz on today's Jaden Rashada lawsuit to
@On3sports
: "LifeWallet nor John H. Ruíz ever had any deal with Rashada that amounted to 9.5 million dollars. LifeWallet had a very small deal with Rashada while he was a big school student in California. Rashada and his father are stand up individuals.

"To date, I personally have a very good relationship with both. They both know we dealt with them honestly and fairly as we have always done with all NIL players. LIFEWALLET has a track record of complying with all of its NIL deals. LIFEWallet was repaid by those controlling the Gators fundraising efforts. While I have my own view of this matter, at this point the interests of this young man should be the focus."

Plot twist:

The defendants counter claim against Rashada for false representation and fraud for entering into a contract after being told there was 9.5 million dollar deal by Rashada. It’s a very dangerous game that Rashada is playing.

2 mistaken assumptions here:

1. That the uaa/boosters want to fire Napier

2. That they would go find a better coach even if the did

That's what I was wondering. I know Kirby is petty, but that's a lot. Zero to be gained from this for UGA. (I'm not assuming it was Kirby, just speculating as if it was)

Going to be funny when Rashada is sued by the Miami booster Ruiz for the contract that the kid originally backed out on. Rashada's money was given to Lagway, which is a much better investment.

I was over him when we had him committed. He's trying to cash in from the get-go. Like I said, I get it, that's the sport now.

But be smart about it. It's a business, act like it. Make your deal and stick with it.

There’s some irony in this statement if the UF boosters pulled a $13 million bait and switch, no?

But the kid pulled a bait and switch with Miami as well. Rashada and his family aren't remotely innocent

I don’t think that makes the statement any less ironic.

If that twitter chain is true, that sounds like a clear breech of contract. He had a signed deal where he was scheduled to be paid. He lived up to his obligation (committed to UF, since it was before signing day). They didn't pay, then cancelled the deal the day AFTER the payment was due.

They'll be on the hook for the first payment at minimum. Perhaps the whole contract amount since if this can be corroborated it's a fairly obvious breech.
