Nobody wakes up and says to their family, who wants to visit Texas? Great state, great jobs, big companies, great culture, but zero fricking tourism. If you’re in Texas, you live there. And I’m sure most Texans like it that way and agree

Not sure about it being zero. Plenty of people visit the wineries in hill country, the Alamo, padre island beaches, frio river, etc.

Yes and no.

All the inbred kids you have with your family, yes that's your fault.

Otherwise no.

But you are contributing to perception, heavily, re: Deliverance's setting

Why do visiting Arkansas fans dress like Gaza refugees? Something I pondered this weekend. You would think that if they could afford to travel to Texas, they could at least not look like homeless people.

You probably think that our city is the entire state cause you're a fricking moron, Texas has beaches like south padres to deserts, its a majority conservative state too. It's literally the entire U.S in a state.

Nobody from AR or MO would have anything to gain from visiting the Frio river. They would be greatly embarrassed for Texas actually. They could go to the Guadalupe at Canyon Lake or New Braunfels to see what crowded really looks like though. I was beyond impressed by that spectacle and still go often.

Why quibble about stuff like this? What’s the point? Does disparaging others make some people feel better about themselves?

Missouri, Texas, and Arkansas are all fine states.

To each his own.

Missouri honestly isn’t that bad.

Not a whole lot going on there.

The Western 70% feels like kansas until you hit Kansas City

Columbia feels like a little town in the middle of nowhere

San Antonio to Austin is filled with Asians, Indians, and Mexican Nationals every weekend. I’m sure there are Europeans but usually just look like Austin weirdos.

JW Marriott, Riverwalk, Hyatt Hill Country and Lost Pines, Outlet Mall, Sea World, Fiesta Texas, CoTA, Fredericksburg, Wineries, Comal River, tubing, Schlitterbahn, ACL, etc.

I don’t live near there on purpose but we go down for work events and it is filled with out of state plates and foreigners year round.

Absolutely insane take.
