According to the New York Times Ole Miss has one of the wealthiest student bodies in the country. It’s a country club for rich kids who don’t want to go to faggy Ivy League schools.

There’s nothing more ironic than rich kids going to college in the poorest state in the country.

Oxford =/= Mississippi
It’s consistently ranked one of the best college towns in America.

But being rich =/= being smart.
I have heard Oxford is relatively nice, but it’s small af so I doubt many of those rich kids stick around after graduating.

Would you let your kid go to UCLA?

“Letting your kid” is very controlling. Once an adult, let them do what they want

Ah the off-season school ranking thread. If we’re on course, there will only be few dozen more of these posts before football season

I don't see LSU; I didn't realize they were the last in the SEC academically.

Maybe I’m confused. What does West Point have to do with Virginia?
I thought West Point was in VA. I see it is in New York. No reason for everyone to get their jimmies rustled. Simple mistake and irrelevent to my overall point about CA and GA being the only states with two top ten public universities based on this ranking.

People saying Ole Miss is too high are probably the same dumbasses that look at entrance requirements and acceptance rates to determine how good an education is

No offense to you but I think I learned that West Point was in New York at about the age of seven... maybe I was eight.

There’s no way anyone can look at entrance requirements, the average salary of graduates, & the failure to elevate a small state & conclude that any MS universities are doing a good job. There are too many universities for a poor state with less than 3M people.
Not as horrible as having 137 separate school districts, though

Oklahoma is #50 on the list, certainly a person as smart as yourself was the valedictorian in your graduating class there?

The last piece of shite talk that Georgia Tech had left was that UGA was a redneck farmer school and Tech was some kind of Ivy League institution.
Notice you haven't seen too many of them buzzing around lately. They lost their last and final talking point about 15 years ago.
back in the day, I met several gorgeous strippers at the Cheetah in Atlanta who were Georgia Tech students
