Gotta love the first line in this article, even though it's 12 years old........... LINK
The bombed-out ruins of Europe couldn't compare to downtown Knoxville on a Sunday.
Yes, Baton Rouge ain't a pretty sight, but in all my travels to all the 16 SEC cities at one time or another in the past, Knoxville, Tennessee, is the ugliest.
From its rickety old erector-set Neyland stadium to UT's dungeon of a campus, Knoxville.................

It isn't 2012 anymore. Knoxville is a very nice mid-sized city with a great downtown and beautiful scenery.
And your picture appears to be from 1950.

This fckstick has never left the state of Georgia. Probably from Dalton.

You realize that Knoxville has went through a renaissance period since this article was written, right?
You deserve all the grief you get on here. You truly are retarded.

Baton Rouge and College Station are by far the ugliest SEC cities.

Probably from Dalton.
Dalton used to have more millionaires per capita than anywhere in the USA.
There were hot women all over that small town.
Now it looks like a Central American shithole. Literally feels like a foreign country.

UGA fans are missing bowers are Mchonkey and are scared shitless. They don't have anyone on offense that can keep up with Nico and company.

Knoxville isn't that bad, but the UT campus is just awful. It's a shame because that's one of the most beautiful natural areas in the SEC

Looks almost as bad as Dresden post fire bombing, OP.

Is Knoxville considered in the mountains or is it a foothill town? never been.

College Station is just a bland, prosperous exurb that lacks a soul.
Baton Rouge is a dystopian, post-apocalyptic fallout town surrounded by violent slums and abandoned buildings.
The river and the town literally stink from petrochemicals.
So no . . .College Station is not the ugliest.

Campus has come a long way in very recent years from an aesthetics standpoint. The main stretch through campus went from looking like:

Haven’t heard about any Laken Riley incidents in Knoxville

We have the best overall park of anyone not named the Atlanta braves. As far as Neyland itself goes, best stadium in America and it's really even close.
It's very fitting that Tennessee was the first team to single handledy handle the NCAA because we are college football 's next dynasty and will make huge runs in basketball and baseball as well.

Even if Knoxville were still that bad, you can just live outside the city in one of the most beautiful parts of the country and then use the benefits of being near a large metro whenever you choose to. East Tennessee is incredible.
