Calls to mind the interview I saw from Dan Hurley the other day. He talked about how when they are building the roster at UConn they make a real effort to evaluate the parents almost as much as the players. Want to make sure they are the type of family that won’t blame you when things are going poorly and will make a real effort to hold the player accountable more than anything

Aden went 0-7 (0-5 from 3) in our loss to Bama while Broome and Jaylin were punking Bama.

This is what Bruce wanted us to change.

If Aden is going to pout like this when the fingers weren't pointed at him to begin with then Bruce may not ever go get a TF PG again.

Honestly don’t know if it’s worth the risk in the transfer portal era unless you are just enamored with a guy. At least when comes to your starting PG.

You can't pass up a John Wall but for the most part I agree. Pg and center are two positions that are a little harder to transition from hs to college.

I watched every game and it was very apparent earlier in the year Tre was the better PG, yet Pearl still gave this kid every opportunity to win the job when he was bricking wide open looks and getting his arse kicked in the paint. We lost close games because of this.

That’s the two spots I was thinking too. 2-4 are mostly guys you are just asking them to get buckets for you and play hard. Obviously not saying you go exclusively HS guys at those positions, but it feels like that is your focus in HS.

The 1 and 5 spots require a savviness that is hard to find in a freshman.

Mods, can we not get Stidham8 banned? The guy is a toolbag and can’t hide the fact he’s a troll. The Ryan Williams schtick and now subtly trolling this thread.

Our offense is not suited for guards to suceed. When Aden lights it up at alabama over the next 2-3 years and everyone here wonders how it happened in bewilderment . . . it's called COACHING.

Alabama runs an NBA spacing system with excellent passing and shooters and we run isolation ball with poor shooters.

Sadly the mods make every excuse for these trolls and continue to let them shite all over the board with the constant bammer knob slobbing...

Jones and the rest of them are worthless when it comes to taking out the bammer trash!

This board can't handle the truth. Our guards have been horrific for years and our ex 5 star McDonald's All American guard said it out loud that the coaching sucks.

This place is in denial.

You’re ignorant to facts and stats…

3 pt FG percentage
Bama .373
Auburn .352

So if Auburn and bammer shoot 100 3’s each bammer hits 2 more 3’s lol. Such elite coaching and all.

Elite coaching coaches defense as well. There is zero comparison.

Maybe you like Oats style of play. It’s a fine system. I personally will take Bruce’s style. Beat you anyway doesn’t have to hit 28 3’s a game to win. Plays defense.

As far as Aden frick that kid and it’s not because he transferred to bammer it’s because he shite talked our coach and program on the way out. Same as big Kat when he went to UCF. Maybe he finds the court against us next season I’m sure Dylan will have a couple nice screens for him. You think shook wait until he walks in the Neville with a crimson jersey on.

In Bruce’s system what guard hasn’t succeeded? Aden? I can’t think of another.

Seems all developed in to good to very good players. Even shitty arse Wendell became an all conference player. Samir became an elite bucket getter. Tre developed enough that other P5 teams will actually pick him up.

Sounds like a Bammer8 and Aden problem to me.

And don’t bring in some bullshite about chance westry dude can’t stay or get healthy

Aden did not handle this well.

He’s young. Probably never failed at this level before.

That’s a problem for 5 stars. Some don’t adjust to the level of competition quickly.
He can get better, but he has to want to.

Going somewhere else may or may not help him. He has a lot of work to do to get on a draft board.

He’s got talent, but he is not big enough to go on talent alone. He needs to study and work and how to finish against size, how to break a double team, and his shot.

None of this is a CBP issue.

I had hope that Aden would be a 10 pt 7 assist guy year one. He was not.

CBP gave him every chance to produce. Aden did not produce.

By the end of the year, the scoring options were: Broome, Jaylin, CBM Denver, and Chaney.

Denver probably did not get enough plays for him bc CBP was trying to get Aden out of a slump.

IF those shots went to Denver/CBM/Chaney, we are a 3 seed.

ISO ball and 10th in the nation in assists per game. Please shut the frick up. You again prove you have no idea what you’re talking about.
