Fill me in for someone who stopped following Auburn recruiting years ago - on a scale from
1-10, how excited should we be about this Miles guy?

I’d say we are adding another upperclassmen guard roughly as talented as Denver Jones if he ends up committing. Different style but dude can play. Do with that what you will

I would give it an 8. He’s a really good player but not elite and isn’t at a big position of need. If he were a PF I would have him at a 9.

He would give us a ton of flexibility with the roster 1-3 though.

Adding a 6'6" guard would be massive.

This team is going to be crazy to defend. Hell I could see this dude at the 3 some and push CBM down to the 4. CBM’s ball skills would almost guarantee he can get a good shot off.

Plus he is insurance piece if either true freshman struggle or hit that wall. Can play either spot the 2 or the 3.

I think we definitely see a small ball lineup like this some

That would be a hell of a counter to some of the stuff Bama tries to do.

This is the best Auburn team on paper in any sport since Auburn football in 2003. Which.. is both a blessing and a warning lol

Miles Kelly is a heck of a pickup and I got a feeling he'll be a staple in the offense if given the chance.

I thought I was the only one who thought the Auburn football team was better ON PAPER in 2003 than 2004. This basketball team must compete for a sweet 16 at least

I like the player, but I'm unsure about how this will work out. We're going into next year with no real back up PG now and the rotations at the 2 and 3 could get weird.

No but we do have 2 upperclassmen who have played backup pg at the high major level behind Pegues.. and a blue chipper who many folks recruited as a pg.

And your concerns about the 2 and 3 combinations is a strength to me not a curse. We have a lot of different lineup combos now although I’m curious about Pegues and Kelly defensively. They look like they can be good defenders if they buy in but you never know

I think Bruce mentioned getting Denver some reps at PG iirc. Could be wrong tho

They were. But CTT didn't hire a OC and he offense had no identity for half of the season

But they do...

Bruce has said multiple times he doesn’t want him playing PG. wants him playing off the ball. If I had to guess who the “backup” PG would be id guess Denver.
