I don't say this often but with all due respect stfu with this dumbass shite. He was a tf pg with a 3-1 assist/to ratio playing in one of the toughest conferences in college basketball. He was never supposed to be a 1 and done talent regardless of how many stars were in his recruiting profile

Aden is gonna be good for someone else but we definitely need improvement at the 1. If Aden hits the shots he has made his whole life he will go from 31% and 7.5 ppg to 40% and 14 ppg and breaking open the game offensively with big shots. I just hate it didn’t work out at AU

Have you considered that most people downvote you because it's fun and you primarily suck?

I think so too. He likely puts it together at some point and is a weapon, but I get the coaches not banking on it happening next year.

Wish him the best, but it’d feel really crappy if he had a Davion Mitchell like career elsewhere. His ceiling is so high

I don’t get why we didn’t keep him and get one of the others unless he wasn’t interested in coming off the bench. Doesn’t make sense to me.

If you are talking about Tre, I think they would keep him if wanted to stay but if he truly blindsided the staff with his portal plans, they may be okay with him moving on as well. If you hit the portal, you are indicating you haven't been able to work out your NIL or playing time desires. That's fine and I wouldn't expect the staff to beg him especially if he wasn't up front with his intentions.
In both cases, it seems they didn't handle their post seasons very well. It's unfortunate but recruiting can't sit around and wait.

I really wish Aden would've stayed. Tre is whatever, but it'd be nice to have some experience back at PG, especially under the system Pearl runs. Hopefully, we'll get something from the portal.

Yeah was thinking of Aden. A guy who would stay around for 3-4 yrs that is talented and could get better without any pressure of being the man.
At least need a portal guy with couple yrs of eligibility

Interesting list from Gary—-most other prognosticators have AU around 22 to 25

I really wish Aden would've stayed.
We were able to absorb his going stone-cold* because of spreading the ball around to as many as possible. If he 's wanting more minutes it's best for him to look elsewhere.

If CBM (confirmed) and Broome (seems to be a real chance) are both back and we land one of our 2 PG targets.. I'd be surprised if we weren't preseason top 10.

CBS put out a top 60 portal players. Just an interesting read.
Myles Rice came in at #29. Did anybody know/say the young man defeated cancer from a season ago?!? What a story for him to be playing ball.
Tre came in at #52.
JP Pegues came in at #59
Zeke Mayo #4 and Terrance Edwards #39 (who were both mentioned on AU's radar) are already taken by Kansas and Louisville.

No such thing anymore with NIL. We supposed to keep paying him 1M a year until he figures it out? Hard pass. With AAU and travel ball these freshman come in ready to play now. Of course players will get marginally better over time but for a program of our stature you need to show up ready to earn your check. He got shown up by every freshman guard in the league I’m glad we moved on or he did whatever
