There's a lot of great baseball games today and they have softball on the main network and the SEC Network.

Softball has similar viewership numbers and I’m pretty sure outdraws the CWS in the post-season too.

I’m going to guess it also has to do with the general footprint of the viewership. Softball is more popular outside of the South than Baseball on the amateur level.

Why does ESPN's viewers not like baseball enough when it's on TV?

This really isn’t that complicated: it has zero national interest. And this isn’t me shitting on the product. It’s a cool regional/niche sport with great traditions, that deserves respect and appreciation. But money being what it is….

ESPN could still air the game if Mike Pence has the courage.

The same reason they don’t broadcast AA baseball?
No one nationally cares.

It's all about numbers/$ and unfortunately NCAA baseball doesn't move the needle enough outside the SEC

Welcome to the shite Disney owned ESPN deal. SEC is the most traditional and conservative conference and that tv deal was designed to force wokeness down our throats
