Not a bad bump in salary. According to this website that lists the top 25 highest paid coaches in 2024, that will take him from his '24 salary of $3.41MM to over $5.65MM.
He is currently ranked 25th this year in regards to salary. It knocks Bruce Pearl out of the top 5 and puts him in the top 5 along with Calipari and Barnes from the SEC.
Good for him, he has earned it imo.

Greg Byrne is the man…I mean the fgn man. He gets it done every time. From what I understand the buyout may be the largest in college basketball.
As I see on here he’s already back to being a $hitty coach after some giddiness that maybe he would leave tho….as I expected to.
Now , let’s get a new arena, get that basketball collective even higher so we can buy more great, proven players off other teams and win that elusive national title.
