ETA: However, expecting 500,000 subscribers is not anywhere close to possible in reality. 50,000 at $25/month would be the absolute best they should hope for.

I think even 50k is unreasonable. Regular people will/should max out their foundation giving first.
I doubt there are even 50k people who would sign up for this in addition to foundation giving.
With NIL, it’s basically the ultra rich and corporations or bust.

It's laughable that they're trying to sell this and actually thinking 500k will donate.
They're not figuring the population south of Little Rock that are struggling to pay bills much less throw $25/ month at the nil monies.

Arkansas basketball twitter doesn’t even have 300k followers.
I’d wager 150-200k of those are the same people. 50k are likely bots.

Wrights BBQ probably added fans from Dallas and Memphis and thought 500,000 subscribers shouldn't be an issue.
But we don't know the size of the fan base as we don't have any numbers on it.
I can speculate the size is relatively small compared to other programs from bigger states.

I don't give it a shite if it is dumb or not, Wrights BBQ came up with that number.
We have zero clue on the size of the Arkansas fan base.
But we can get a general idea by looking at bigger states and say that the fan base isn't as big as the programs located in those states.

From what I can remember, when Frank was still AD a fan could send a small contribution and receive a calendar and such for their donation. Jeff Long put an end to that.
A 2 dollar gift for a 10 dollar donation brought in money. Even with a 5 dollar donation.
Long sucks. He alienated a lot of fans and the program hasn’t recovered. Screw him.
