The "middle class" are neck deep in debt and I doubt Titboss and the football program move their needle much.
Will use LSU as an example. A "middle of the donor class" would be something along the lines of a Todd Graves (Raisin Canes) or even a moderate size business owner, say the owner of a company that supplies for the shipping industry in NOLA. I know some of these people and they are RABID, feral LSU fans. Our "middle of the donor class" are not as RABID.
Yes, we have a few "upper donor-class" but they cannot do everything and are single points of failure that can pull substantial amounts of money and power if they don't get their way.
