More losses this year, Bama or Texas

Obviously I love and deeply respect Bama and their classy fanbase, and it kills me to see them falling apart, so I’m hoping they only get 3 losses this year. Is that realistic? Main concern is DeBoer and his coaching staff don’t have enough SEC ties, not sure he has enough time to plant those seeds as he will likely be gone by 2027.
As far as Texas, they’re obviously in over their head, but a superior team to Bama at the moment, so I’ll go with a comfortable 2 losses, likely 3, though.
It’s a bummer they won’t be playing Bama, as that should be a guaranteed win for the good teams in the conference and possibly an upset from a shite team, but last time Texas faced DeBoer they didn’t fare too well. I guess we’ll have to see.

I think in the end they'll have the same number of losses.
I think Texas will have one more win though, as I think one of the losses for Texas will be a second loss to UGA in the SECCG while Bama will only have 1 loss to UGA in the regular season.

The better question is who wins worst poster of the year, you or Smokeys Howl? It is clearly a two horse race and things are neck and neck.
Good Luck!

I think they both go 10-2 in the regular season.

I know Texas will win more but we're going to lose them all -- except one: LSU

Bama. It's just too hard to keep momentum when your coach and a chunk of staff leaves.

I expect Baja Oklahoma to be really good again. I have no idea what they lost over the off season because they are Baja Oklahoma, so who cares, but they should be as good or better than last year. I also think Alabama's demise is being greatly overstated....the worse case scenario for Bama in my mind is they prove to be human with a new coach.

Alabama.
Since color TV became a thing, 1st-year Alabama coaches have a 47% win pct. Not even Bear Bryant or Nick Saban could win more than 55% or their games in year one.
And after tEXODUS in January...
Texas shouldn't lose 5 games next year.

has your coach mastered that cajun accent yet?

At this point, I believe Texas will have more wins. This Alabama team doesn't even resemble anything close to what Saban had out there last year, and then throw in a new staff with almost zero SEC coaching experience, and things could go sideways real quick over there!

It's a battle of attrition, but that could be said of any team. Whichever program is able to keep key players on both sides of the ball on the field and off the sidelines in street clothes also wins the most games. That's not to say both Bama and Texas don't have deep benches, but starters are starting for a reason. Off-season conditioning will be very important, and Torre Becton at Texas has done a good job of prepping our guys. Not very many (often non contact) ligament/soft tissue injuries like we used to have under some meathead S&C coaches who valued the bodybuilder look over functional football conditioning.
