And their options are limited now because if they hit the Spring Portal, they are ineligible to play at another SEC school in the fall. What a jerk move. I expect some players to transfer just out of spite. We have a spot for them at UW I'll tell ya that. :)

It’s clear that he trapped the kids. They would have had a big exodus had he been truthful. Dirty business. Let’s see how it turns out for him. Maybe he’s a genius.

So Seattle was fine not hiring an OC to help Alabama out w the transfer portal?

Yeah, thats not really how the NFL works.

What do you mean “not hiring?” They are hiring him. There was just no rush for an NFL team.

I think it was more a matter of Grubb not accepting until after the portal closed. Looks like a favor he did for Deboer.

Agree here as well. If there was any gamesmanship then players better get used to it. They want to be professionals who can transfer anywhere they want for a dollar more. Expect to be treated like professionals then. The NFL doesn’t give free agents a heads up that they might change coordinators, offensive scheme, sign a different QB, etc.

They better get used to it? Coaches lying to players is not new and a big reason for all the rule changes recently. Jesus, Bama fans live in a gd bubble.

None of this makes your coach any less of a shyster.

So, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm probably in the minority, but I'll take the college game, atmosphere, TV schedule, stadiums, rivalries, etc., etc. over the NFL every single day.

NFL teams don't have the time crunch right now that college teams do.

if he asks Seattle "can I have 2 weeks to finish this thing then start?"
it really has no ill effect on the Seahawks to give him that time.

They got double fricked…Saban retires day after they all get to campus, Grubb splits right after 30 day window. Gotta be a great way to get these kids to buy in

Triple...

If you add in all of the Bama fans who are now simply telling these players to suck it up and take it like men.

Yep, just bend over and take it like a fresh-fish prison inmate.

Whoa. Yeah dude doesn't come across very genuine. Sounds like crocodile tears to me. He had it made in Washington. We'll see how his time at Bama works out, but it doesn't seem to be going too smooth so far.

It was an odd speech for sure. I do give him credit for talking to the team, not all do that now. But damn that speech was all over the place and incoherent at times.

No, this is nearly two decades of rage, pent up frustration, and psychological damage finally being relieved now that Saban has retired from college football. He broke you and mentally scarred your psyches due to his unparalleled success and our program's unrivaled dominance over the SEC.

Now that he is gone you declare victory over a fan base that was not earned. It was given to you by God as a mercy to prevent your self-deletion by hanging or some other form of suicide.
