He should settle and walk away. His name is already not that well regarded after the job he did at LSU. Who the heck needs $54M anyway? If he settles people will think he was reasonable and the world will open up for him.

Seems like someone got into his head and caused him to change his course.
He seems like a fish out of water on the west coast. I don't have any inside information or anything but doesn't feel like a place he's stay at forever.
Doesn't seem likely. I believe LSU is set to name the new president tomorrow.
Seems like the fuse was lit when the Brian Kelly contract was signed. If BK's teams would have exceeded expectations, the contract would not have mattered. My suspicion is Kelly would not have stayed long if he won a Natty in 2-4 years. He would have retired.

Jayden Daniel's senior year was the missed opportunity. If the defense was just average, the team would have competed for the Natty. But that didn't happen.

Woody had detractors for sure, like anyone, and when BK ran out of gas this year, it gave them all they needed to not only dismiss BK, but also to sideline Woody in the search for our next coach

When that happened, Woody know his days were numbered. He could not lead the department any longer.

I wish him well. He did a lot of good in his 6 years.
Nuss' attitude, I don't know, seems a little me-centered when I see his interactions on the field. Not sure if he's liked or perceived as a leader on the team. If you watch the last series against TAMU, when MVB went in for Nuss, the team played with energy and his legs and ability to run the ball challenged the other team in a way Nuss cannot.

The bottom line is that the Nuss offense struggles to get to 20 points against any quality defense this year. That's not going to be enough to meet the expectations set against LSU football.
Good coach...not a good fit for LSU I would think

I don’t think HP likes to play inside LB

He really need to shower more
Sunk money...he gets it either way. Play the guy who can run and get occupy another one of their guys like 99% of the rest of college football.

And you wonder why we can't defend a running QB?

Was wondering that too

Nussmeier has had his chance. Time to turn the page.
quote:

Donovan Green. He actually looked adequate enough for a defense to pay attention to catching passes late vs SELU. He’s only been used as a blocker in the FBS games, but he’s had some pretty good moments. I would like to see more of him and T Green in 12 going forward and make Sharp the reserve TE.

I like him and would like to see more of him. He's a true TE vs an H-back and can catch the ball.
The issue I believe is he’s been tagged by our opponents as the weak link so, of course, they put their elite, Harold Perkins-type, pass rusher on him and then run stunts.

If he were a guard, it would be a different story because we could protect him while he learns his craft. But unfortunately he’s getting baptized by fire. As an athlete myself, I have a lot of respect for how he has gone out there each week and given it his best because he knows he’s lost some battles and yet he hasn’t quit on himself or the team.

One other observation is our running backs are only mediocre at chipping the defense ends and I think at times make the situation worse because they create uncertainty, vs certainty, which is also exploited by the defense. And Weston has to try and clean things up.

I’m glad we’re sticking with Weston and have a lot of respect for how he goes out there against challenging circumstances and battles each week.

Who is the official provider for LSU? Seems like you could tie that to good stadium performance somehow...it's a solvable problem. Just need to scale up the equipment to match the demand. The problem is that no one yet has been motivated to solve it.

Personally I don't like the new music they play or the DJ. I'm more traditional and like the band and less stuff between plays. But would really like, and pay for, cell service that would work so I could check on stats, listen to Blair & Hester, and check on how other game are going.

Some stadiums choose to have good bandwidth to improve the fan experience.
