Lot's of maybe's here but the bottom line is he was a part of a group that way underperformed this season. Best of luck Coen

I thought he was pretty talented

Its kinda awkward but the right thing to do letting the coaches go back. Let it play out...its going to end sooner rather than later.

I would not hire anyone who cannot coach his position. Kids come to college football to be developed and hopefully get ready for the next level. A good recruiter can get them in the door initially, but, without results, over time they are going to go elsewhere.
Best of luck to Coach Frank...a true Tiger

Its like riding a roller coaster...there's some scary parts but you know if the end you're going to end up in a good place.

Me personally I would have tried to blend in and take it all in incognito. The emotions there are still pretty raw and they have a lot of pitchforks in MS.

It's an awkward situation but probably the right thing to do (to allow them to coach the bowl). They should have professional integrity though and refrain from recruiting OM players until after their work at OM is completed.
You have to have good corners to do that...but if you do you can make it really hard on a QB. Mix in zone coverages occasionally and exotic pressures and it can create a difficult situation to digest in real time. A running game helps but Bama doesn't have a 100% stud RB this year.

We don't want to do that...don't give them any platform from which to show. Back when we played them yearly, they generally were terrible and it was their bowl game. And our guys weren't very motivated to play the game. Never was good for the Tigers...even with a win (which was expected) it never was a plus for us.

Exactly the reason we don't play them any more...they are like a nat flying around your head that is so annoying but somehow almost impossible to swat

Good points...they would have used his presence there, except for Saban, to bring up all the same stuff and relitigate it. It is what it is? Was it fair to OM...absolutely not. But, as Saban said, the head coaches don't set the timing of the early signing period or portal window. They have to work within that system and quite honestly it sucks.
If the roles were reversed, OM would have gone after Lane and we would have been left to pick up the pieces. They got a raw deal but have no high ground to stand on in my opinion.

I agree this time will be important. If I were Lane, I would want to know why the Oline seemed to lack chemistry and didn't really develop as a group as the year unfolded.
Maybe the answer was coaching but not close enough to the situation to know.
Like Ory Williams and Carius...think they seem to be keepers

I don't think it bothers him...they are entitled to their opinion
Like Max but, if he would come back, it should be to compete for a position. Would not back up the Brinks truck though

It’s wild that they can’t see the difference in Kiffin not coaching Ole Miss and Sumrall coaching Tulane.
Bro…. One is an in conference rival, a permanent opponent.
There could be a little ego there too from the OM side. But not saying I would not be totally pi**ed if we were in their shoes.
Why do you post this info here? its stealing the guy's content. If people want access to On3, they can get a subscription. Please stop.

Great news! The safety play elevated this year so glad we are keeping Corey for the corners and Olsen for the safeties.
It's a lot of money...but how is that in the context of CFB in general. There's a lot of money in the sport so it raises everything for everybody.
And its not even close to NBA or baseball money...

Stay clear of Oxford for a while
Crazy how someone who was so sought after fades away like that. Maybe he didn't really like playing FB
