The GOP wants to control education. They want to alter history by sugarcoating slavery and ignoring the plight of early American Native Americans. Even with an approved curriculum, you have to be careful what you say because they can still cause you issues
I was taught about slavery, we all were. Do you honestly think anyone here wasn't taught about Slavery? Leftists like you call anything that's not taking a giant dump on America "sugarcoating". Schools in the West have been teaching students to hate their own countries and cultures for far too long. Clueless idiots like you are the end result.

Maryland did not secede because Lincoln sent in the Union troops to arrest the legislature before they could vote to secede. Eastern shore of Maryland strongly leaned toward secession. Take a look at the state song, Maryland My Maryland, which has a verse about Yankee scum.

I checked & the obesity & literacy rates are more aligned with northern states.

Most want to skip over all of this and have us teach how slavery was a necessary evil. I feel that is dishonest. America is a great nation and is strong enough to stand the truth.

No. They are white trash that happens to be in the North.
If your state didn't officially join the Confederacy, you are a Yankee. Sorry
Neither Missouri nor Kentucky officially joined the Confederacy. They were too chicken shite and kissed Ohio's arse.
Maryland and Delaware also did the same shite....and most consider them Yanks too.

Yall must seem to like the guy, elected him to be governor TWICE.
Kentucky almost always elects Democratic Governors. A Democrat has held the governorship for 81 out of the past 100 years.

Well, we sure as hell don't want to be.
No Yankee could ever come up with anything as good as bourbon. We are charter members of the SEC.
You go around Kentucky and call people Yankees and see what kind of reaction you get.

Attorney General Coleman came out in full support of Texas right to protect itself. Beshear is too beholden to the liberal, monied out of state interests to do what is right.

You shouldn't just say yankee without bastard after it. Or you could call him a FIFO.

Missouri is less southern by nature. But honestly, anything north of Tennessee is yankee territory.
Jefferson Davis, John Bell Hood, John C. Breckenridge, John Hunt Morgan, Basil Duke and Simon Buckner were all from Kentucky. Who did Alabama have? Uhhh, like no one.

I like Bourbon. I used to travel to Kentucky with a friend to buy moonshine when I was in college. It was well worth the trip. Kentuckians are masters of whiskey.
