This is an interim role. RC is one the most trusted advisors already, so it makes sense for him to guide the ship for now and help vet future candidates.

Can’t believe he’s still alive. Yeah he will do whatever it takes to make athletics better. Will he succeed? Maybe not but he will try and care.

Just a seat warmer, we did it a while back with Mike Perrin. (big time lawyer who played for DKR) just don't expect him to do much more than sign off on payrolls and such until a real AD is found.

90’s A&M coach that has been an ambassador ever since. During his reign, the Aggies were 123-47-2. The Aggies are good when the No. 1 defense sits in College Station. Few coaches have gotten close to his defenses. Mike Elko was the last on to field a Top 5 defense.
