He had the greatest lineup of polo shirts from the 90s. He and Spurrier. Oh and they parties together!
Bring back his polos.
Bring back his polos.

At least the interim-AD has a real love for the school. And he knows all of the large money donors. Could do much worse

Hated him back in the 90’s but have to respect the man for the teams he put together…that D and running game were just nasty.

Couldn’t do much better. RC is a good man and highly respectable.

Didn't know he was even still alive.

He's two years cancer-free. Posts on TexAgs from time to time

Gotta respect a man who chose to leave coaching if he couldn’t coach for the team he loved. That’s a man who really gave a crap.

I actually thought he did a good job that one year he was on the committee. I bet he was a guy who was really watching just about every team and game he could.

Good move by them in the interim.
But just because he's a good guy that gets the program doesn't mean they should be complacent in looking for a full-time replacement. Texas did just that with Mike Perrin and it set them back quite a bit

Perrin was a lawyer who happened to play for the longhorns at one point but he was still a lawyer. RC has always been deeply invested with the football program and athletics in general.
Big difference in my mind. I see him as a “political” appointee and a huge mistake that got us Herman.

HW Bush tried to pony him on us when Saban went to the Dolphins

You know…he doesn’t really have the qualifications for an AD in this decade with all the issues. He is a throwback. unlike most modern AD’s…he’s long term loyal…great integrity…honesty…and just a damn good man…no matter who you pull for…if you get chance to drink a beer or talk with RC, take it…you’ll enjoy it.
