All of the weird troll threads regarding the BAMA changing of the guard are gold. BAMA has been the benchmark of college football for quite a few years and never needed any extra motivation to show folks going into a new season.

Good thing the game is played between the hash marks and not on message boards with all the "experts". An allegedly "down" year for BAMA is something most fans around the county would print tee shirts for.

You thought posters like Tuscaloosa were bad before? Keep feeding folks like him thread fodder to recall next season to clap back enthusiastically.

In the end, BAMA is still BAMA and that's pretty damn good.

****let the downvotes commence!****

It's interesting that you people don't have enough self awareness to see that's why you're getting this reaction.

Correct, just without Saban.

Nebraska is still Nebraska
Florida is still Florida
Notre Dame is still Notre Dame
Tennessee is still gay
USC is still USC

… I could keep going.

Everyone should aspire to be LSU, a team that is good for a title no matter the hire.

From 1983-2008, one National Title and 7 different coaches (Perkins, Stallings, Dubose, Price, Francioni, Shula and then Saban fell into your lap) after Bryant retired.

If Saban doesn't fall on his arse with the Dolphins, you guys would have been bringing in a new coach every 3-4 years after Shula.

One of the saddest things ever written.

Boys this may be a new stage that we’ve never seen before. Bookmark this thread for observation. Good case study.

I think you should win the previous NC to be considered the benchmark. Something Bama hasn't done since a pandemic wrecked the country.

There has been 3 champions since you were the benchmark. Sad as it is to say, the current benchmark is in Ann Arbor

There's a whole other thread about delusional tideturds like you still holding on to past glory, claiming that Bama was, is, and always will be the promised land of CFB excellence .

Gumps gonna gump, I guess.

I bet your pappy was one of those Bear fanatics that I had to suffer with saying the same thing after he retired. "Bama is still Bama", "We'll be back, better than ever", yadda yadda.

Nope. Bama was no better than any of the other plebes in CFB after Bear left. You were okay with Stallings, but in the 25 years between Bear and Saban Miami stole your thunder as the premier destination for CFB players.

Hell, during that time LSU won TWO nattys (including Saban's first year in Gumpaloosa), where Bama only won one with Stallings.

So, yeah, keep working through those stages of grief, bro. You'll get to reality eventually.

And Bama was still Bama during the Shula years.
