Who do you mean by supporting cast? The o line? They were terrible at pass blocking in about every game.

The defense played great vs USF.

Milroe had games where he looked like a Heisman winner. That can’t be a mistake and luck.

I’m actually thinking (maybe hoping) the team is gathering around his leadership and most are staying onboard due to it - and/or him.

By week 9 Milroe was one of the top 3 or 4 QBs in the country.

I really want to watch him next season under this new system. The passing numbers should be improved.

It's baffling that people believe this.

Milroe is going to have to improve more in his 4th year than he has in the previous 3 combined if he wants to hold onto his job.

I've heard they will bench him if he can't run their offense correctly and someone else can.

People outside of Alabama that vote for the Heisman believed it. How do you think he got voted 6th in the Heisman voting? Luck? The ones who who don’t believe it are the Ty Simpson fanboys.

Here’s next years Heisman odds. Milroe is tied for the best odds. I don't see Ty Simpson on there anywhere.

He can’t throw across the middle and doesn’t know when to run but he’s a top 5 QB?

Milroe led the team to an SEC championship and playoff appearance and a 6th place Heisman finish. He did things no other Bama QB had ever done.

Please explain the latter. I am not sure what you are referencing. Even AJ won the SECCG a national title, and IIRC finished 2nd in Heisman voting. Just curious to you reference

LOL. Now, there's a standard. They watch sportscenter highlights and cherry picked stats just like fan boys everywhere.

You just remember I told you, Milroe won't be the QB unless he improves vastly. And maybe he will. But, I'm skeptical.

With a new staff and system in place you’d have to think the job is pretty much open. I think those discrediting Milroe as having a leg up aren’t being serious. He has a huge experience advantage over the competition. But think any of the four guys could come out and take the job.

The argument isnt if he is a top 5 QB, its if he is the best qb on our team, and he obviously was last year. If he’s not next year then start someone else. That would mean Ty Simpson has made a ton of improvement which would be a good thing. Hopefully they both improve a lot this offseason. Milroe has a lot of areas he can improve.

QB on playoff team who just beat #1 Georgia finishes with some minor heisman votes more at 11

Milroe’s issue is we’re running an air raid, which requires quick reads and multiple route options. Last season he would not have been able to execute that offense whatsoever. He needs to make massive strides or he’ll lose the role to Simpson

First Bama QB to have 3 passing TDs and 2 rushing TDs in a game. Did it twice, the second time he had 3 and 3 against Kentucky.

Vastly improve to beat out who? Ty Simpson who he just beat out?

Ty Simpson is the one who has to vastly improve to win the QB job, he barely completed 50% of his passes this season.

Id much rather Milroe improve dramatically. The dude has a lot of potential

He has the time, as he graduated. It will be interesting to see what he does with it.

New coach, there is really no depth chart. Milroe probably has a little lead but it is far smaller than year 2 in the same offense.

Oddly arbitrary stat. I don’t think anything stopped Blake Sims or Jalen Hurts from being able to put up the same figures

I genuinely don’t get the point you’re trying to push with that. Jalen did 4-1 and 2-2 2X as a freshman, that doesn’t mean he was running the offense better than McCarron

You know an argument is genuine and rooted in reason when you use a sample size of 20 attempts to say a guy is inaccurate when the tape shows no issues

Even AJ did? AJ was one of the top QBs in the country in college his last couple of years.
