If by tanking a program you mean leaving said program with his entire staff immediately after a championship game appearance as that former program now steps up into a much more difficult conference...yeah, you're probably right.

Jimbo did ok at FSU.
Frank Solich did ok at Nebraska.
Tom Osborne did ok at Nebraska, too.
Les did ok at LSU.
Tressel did ok at OhioSt.

That's five that followed winners at their respective schools. All won titles except Solich.

I know we weren't great but the only reason Butch Jones stayed as long as he did at TN was because of Josh Dobbs making him look better than he obviously was.
