You guys lost to Michigan. It's the definition of mediocre.

Your argument is really that Alabama is mediocre because it lost to 15-0 national champ Michigan? I think you need to look up the definition of mediocre.

Yes, UGA had a poor game in the SECCG.

UGA had quite a few "poor games" against a poor schedule.

OSU beat UGA last year and got hosed.

UGA vs OSU and Bama vs Michigan were both games where the teams that made more mistakes still won.

Bama vs Michigan was an even game in terms of turnovers and penalties. Michigan was the team who missed a FG and still won the game.

UGA vs OSU... UGA lost the turnover battle, had double the penalty yardage assessed against them and missed MORE FG's than OSU did... and still won.

In neither game can the team that lost say they lost because of mistakes or the refs, because the team who got hurt by those more still won the game.

Cause refs suck arse

Blaming refs and injuries is loser bullshite. Georgia played a terrible game when they couldn't afford to play a terrible game. Dropping the fumble, jumping early on a field goal try, getting blown up on both lines of scrimmage, and being completely incapable of adjusting to two high safeties are why Georgia didn't get into the playoff.

Similarly UGA's largest defensive weakness (mobile QB's) would not have been exposed against against Michigan at all.

What? JJ McCarthy is a very good runner with very good speed.

Give credit where it's due....Milroe played his best game of the season vs. UGA. I don't think he could do it again. He sure as hell didn't do it against UM.

Probably an Alt, but Georgia fans need to stop this. Getting to be FSU level.

Do we all think we could've beaten these teams in the playoff? Yes.

But we had our chance and we lost and put it in someone else's hands.

Time to move on, like Marlon Humphrey has (just in a more rational way).

Hey, Jetdoggie, yes to beating the 2021 Michigan Wolverines, of course, but NO WAY would the Pug Dogs beaten Michigan this year, even if your boy Brock Blowers was healthy! We put in plays all year for you flea-mutts, and we would've put the beat down you dudes, for real!

Mizzou would have beaten either one of those teams last night as well.

But they were the only decent team UGA played, and they lost. I guess Missou was OK, but I can't respect a team that we beat on the road with our defense.

Many years there are 2-3 teams in the SEC that could beat every team in other conferences. This was not one of those years.

Just congratulate Michigan on a great year and move on.

UGA had "quite a few" poor games?

On the season, UGA had three games where they had poor performances (rather than mediocre or good).

Auburn was the first. Turnovers were the big problem (two that led to AU TD's).

Mizzou was the second. This was just poor play overall from UGA. UGA still won by 9, but Mizzou turnovers were a big part of that. Without those it could have gone either way.

Bama was the third. UGA had more penalties, more turnovers and gave up two 4th down conversions that led directly to TD.

The other games UGA largely played "okay" or "good". UGA played pretty well vs Ole Miss (a top 10 team). They won by 35. They played pretty well against FSU (a top 10 team). Won by 60. They played pretty well against Tennessee (a top 20 team). Won by 28.

UGA was lucky in 2022 in that their poor games were against poor opponents. In 2023, Bama was probably their second worst game of the season (worst was against Auburn). That was unlucky for them.

shite happens.

UGA was exposed against Bama for having a soft schedule and a soft team.

Bama was exposed against Michigan for pulling countless favors from Satan throughout the season, who decided to sit the playoffs out.

2021 UGA would've. 2022 UGA would've. The 2023 UGA team was nothing special.
