Worry about your own coach leaving.

You've got to be kidding. Falcons are a dumpster fire. Why would Kirby want a demotion?

Good. Maybe I'll draft Bijan next year. Absolutely criminal how they used him and Pitts.

Rumors are that Todd Monken is on the short list. That'd be ideal...Falcons, being the dumpster fire they've always been, hire Monken, fire him in 3 years and he returns to Athens for a few years.

One thing you can count on is the Falcons will botch the hire. Smith's base salary was $500k his first year. He was apparently earning somewhere between $2 and $5 million a year. Kirby Smart is making somewhere in the neighborhood of $12 million a year. Highly doubtful Falcons come close to that number and even more doubtful Smart would leave an established program that is built and about as close to auto pilot as a program can get for a dumpster fire with as shitty a history as the Falcons have. Falcons do not need a coach of any quality, tickets are sold and the money is like a printing press in the NFL...you do not have to win, all you gotta do is have a team.

No wonder Smith was so upset after the game . He knew his arse was getting fired.

Saban to the Falcons will be the greatest curveball yet.

That would piss off most of their fanbase.

Kirby saw what happened with Saban going to the pros. He probably stays right where he’s at.

Too bad Geoff Collins took the NC DC position

Geoff would be a great replacement to bring fans back to the Benz with his ATL culture

Kirby gets 10 top 100 picks (maybe more) every year.

He ain’t leaving for the Falcons where you get 7 picks and maybe 3-5 free agents.

I would like to see Blank hire a HC with some NFL HC experience. None of his hires have had any HC experience and I think that has been part of the problem.

Kirby would be a fool to leave GA for the Falcons. I understand the whole ego thing of coaching in the NFL. but he is coaching a top tier program and he also has the luxury of seeing what happened to Saban when he went to the NFL.
The only reason I could think he would possibly entertain the idea would be that he would have more time with his family. NFL coachs have more time during the off season than college coaches who have really no off season.

Nah, Sark maybe. He isn’t that far removed from the NFL and may want another bite at the apple.
