If blue blood means 1 national championship in the past 50 years, then Texas is for sure a blue blood.

You are not an SEC Blueblood. You have to start at the bottom and earn your way there. Win an SEC Championship first.

True. Mizzou has more 11 win seasons since 2007 than Texas and Aggie combined.

Oklahoma is most certainly a Blue Blood since 2001 and they have done everything from winning big bowls, conference titles, 11+ win seasons. But the “status” is a bit of “light blue” lately without winning a national title. Oklahoma is (0-7) from 2003-2019 in the BCSNCG/CFPSF. Oklahoma most certainly is top seven all time but it’s not as GOLDEN as it was back in the early part of the century.

I didn't know Texas was a blue blood.

I always thought they were the Joneses.

Jokes aside, Texas has won the conference title 3 times this century. Tied with Baylor and Kansas State.

You probably think Clemson is a Blue Blood. Anyone can buy a Championship in Football. I mean shite, Auburn bought one with Cam Newton.

Oh good. Another thread here with a bunch of slack jaws who still don’t know the definition of blue bloods.

IN the last 43 seasons UGA has exactly the same number of national titles as Oklahoma and Texas combined. LSU does also. So does Florida. So does Auburn....although one of those they claim is kind of suspect.

All of these teams in the SEC now have more national titles over the last 43 years than Texas and the same number as Oklahoma.

Since 1980 Alabama has won 7 titles. They definitely kept UGA from winning a 4th one in 2017 winning the title game in OT and they arguably kept UGA from winning one in 2012. They may have kept UGA from winning one in 2018. They also may have prevented UGA winning one this season and 3 in a row. In modern CFB, since TV took over, Texas and Oklahoma ain't close to UGA alone, let alone the other also rans in the SEC not named Alabama. Had Texas and Oklahoma been in the SEC over the last 43 years there is nothing which indicates they'd have had what success they have had. UGA has been as consistently good as anyone in the nation in those 43 years....OU and UT ain't close.

Of course the argument will switch to national titles where NAPA Auto Parts claimed one team over another. Since the title has been claimed on the field UT and OU ain't done shite.

Texas certainly isn't a blue blood today. They may have been when Eckerd Drug Stores named a national title winner but not in the modern era.

In the NIL era, where everyone can cheat and get away with it, you are going to find out who the true Blue Bloods are. They f'ed up giving Texas the ability to pay players, and very little rules or regulation. My opinion, it could be wrong, but I don't think so...I mean you can see them already starting to rise and I think it only has a little to do with Sark.

Why do you think Saban is pissing on and on about this NIL stuff? He knows it's going to kill some really good things he had going.

So... each of those schools have won three more titles than a&m has even played for in the same time span?

Texas is not by any means a blue blood.

As far as NIL, this isn’t going to work like you think it is
