Either way, if Harbaugh leaves they have the same 30 day portal opening, right?

Thx.

After reading that, and after reading the Shank comments, seems clear it's a highest bidder situation.

He's gonna follow one coach he's familiar with to play with 80 guys he doesn't know ?

And what about the hundreds of people he is teammates, classmates, and part of the community with at Bama ?

That Shank article changed my perspective about the following the coach angle. Same answer to 99 out of 100 questions... Money

It does feel like we’re going to be a completely new, different football program this year. Obviously a lot of players will be back, but with the portal it feels like the slate gets wiped clean much more quickly. In this case, we didn’t want to slate wiped clean, but with these rules there’s really no choice.

Seems like Caleb Odom may be headed to the portal as well

Don't worry the sunshine pumpers will say. All is well.

They literally said we let Niblack go for Odom.. so I'm just wondering the spin on this one.

Wasn’t he excited about the hiring last week?

Chill, you are doing thay thing where one person says something and you project on everyone else.

Not concerned about NiBlack, felt he was turning into Billingsley 2.0 but Odom losing Odom stinks. He has a lot of potential.

Didn't he come out early in the DeBoer hire and post something on his social media that he was "all in"? It is strange.

Which shows this roster is losing confidence in this coach and it has spun out of control.

This is why it was so important for him to assure guys that were key under Saban they had a job... not take his time, then offer an interview.

Anyways what is done is done.

I'm hoping Schumman will be developed like Kirby and will take over once CKD is done destroying what Saban built for 17 years

Apparently deleted those messages. Seems like some people close to him informed him he was not, in fact, all-in and needed to remove those communications.

I'm just not on TRob as you are. He feels like some of the players in that he was there for Saban and now thay he is gone, he was the only reason I am here so why stick around. Correct my sequence if I am wrong but he was at UGA before the coaching search was done right? I think it is more to it than DeBoer's ability to retain him.

I feel like the only coaches post Saban that could have kept him Lanning, Muschamps, Schumann and Lane. Lane burns everything down in 5 years, we obviously not hiring Muschamps, if Schumann is hired I am sure TRob is going why didn't you hire me for HC. I think Lanning would have been the only thing that worked.

Don’t believe anyone said “we let go of Niblack”. The statement was Niblack wasn’t a major loss because of Odom

Has Odom actually been confirmed? I saw where someone said it was a random Twitter poster

Twitter so far, so probably not super reliable

The origin tweet was about an hour ago saying “hearing another high level recruit leaving soon”

frick his abilities Carlton. You're a new coach in a conference that is brutal and talent heavy.

DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO KEEP THAT TALENT

It's arrogance from CKD and even Bryne. It has always been about Saban over Alabama. So with so much change you try to give a kid some consistency!

Fire TRob next year like Huhh did Cadillac!

However you must make the first call to tell TRob he is being retained. You don't leave him hanging so Kirby can get Downs! That right there was the first stone and that shite built up to this monster.

Then he follows up with even dumber things like bringing in that QB which will now unravel the last top class we will have till we fire CKD in 2 or 3 years.

This shite is so damn basic.

I'm sorry but that is just a difference of opinion. Unless they said doing everything to keep TRod was a condition of hiring I can't see a coach making a first priority retaining a guy he never met. And again as I said it looks TRob was there for Saban and only someone in the Saban tree would have kept him there. TRob doesn't seem like a guy so easily hurt that he would reject the guy cause he actually wants to meet him before offering the job.
